“The food wasn't just good it was authentic. I was born and raised in Tampa and I know there are some dishes that you can only get when you're invited into our homes. It isn't something you can experience anywhere else accept in the home of a Tampa native. Their menu includes one of those dishes. Everything we ordered made my wife want to move from Maryland to Tampa. The cerviche with fresh tuna was the surprise standout on the appetizer menu. We simply weren't ready for what they had coming out of that kitchen. The customer service and the food makes this the highlight of our visit back home.“

First off — full experience:
Customer service? 10/10
Cleanliness? 10/10 (and I mean spotless 👀)
Vibe? 10/10 — I loved the setup, the energy, everything about it
Now let’s get into this FOOD 😭🥪
When I tell y’all… this Cuban sandwich was immaculate.
Perfectly pressed, hot from the moment I left the store all the way until I got home, and that first bite? MELT. IN. YOUR. MOUTH.
The meat was fresh, flavorful, and just done RIGHT.
I had to sit there for a second like… am I just hungry or is this really hitting like that? 😂
Because listen… I LOVE a good Cuban sandwich, and this one? Yeah… it’s definitely up there.
Now the cheesecake — I’m gonna be honest with y’all (you know I keep it real), it leaned more toward a key lime pie vibe than a traditional cheesecake. But it was still good! Just not what I expected.
AND don’t judge me… I left my chips at the restaurant 😭
Whole time I’m home like “something missing…” — yeah, my CHIPS 🤦🏽♀️😂
But overall? This was one of those on-a-whim stops after Walmart that turned into a whole experience.
New Tampa/Wesley Chapel… y’all did y’all thing. I’m already planning to hit the Riverview and Brandon locations next 👀

“This is by far the best local eatery! I eat here almost every day. All the food is outstanding; as I eat healthy, I normally get the steak or chicken with salad and yuca or black beans. Of course a Cuban coffee and just sometimes one of their delicious desserts. I always bring home yuca and salad for dinner. For now, am staying away from carbs and have lost 11 pounds since going here.!! The servers are fantastic and very friendly. The entire restaurant is clean which is a huge thing to me! Highly recommend!!“

“We've been eating here for years. The sandwiches are great and the pork dishes are very gratifying. A perfect lunch for me is their Cuban or Media Noche with a side of Tostones. Soft drinks are served in a large reusable to-go cup. The staff have always been very friendly and accommodating.“
“We have been to this restaurant 2 times in Yabor, five times in Celebration Fla. it is awesome. Food is some of the best we have ever had. Service and the friendliness of all the staff impeccable. The Yabor location is celebrating over 100 years. It is a beautiful and authentic building. I would give this restaurant the highest recommendation. Why it doesn't have Michelin Star escapes me. Don't think twice it is worth the visit!!!!!“

“Stopped in Francis Cafe after getting a haircut at Champions Barber next door. Normally, this restaurant isn't open on Dundays, but because of the hurricane and people without power, they decided to open for the day.
They were extremely nice and courteous. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, a cafe con Leche, and a sunny D.
Awesome little spot to stop in for some Cuban food. We will be back!!

“??? I’ve been eating here 2-3 times a week for 4 months, and it's always amazing. Then, I noticed they only has 9 reviews which is crazy for how flavorful this place is. Everything is flavorful without being overpowering. This is a father/son operation, and they’re awesome guys. Today, I went plain Jane and had the quarter chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans, but their authentic Cuban is fresh and delicious. Especially their sandwiches. I usually go authentic with arroz amarillo con frijoles negros (yellow rice with black beans). All lunches come with a piece of Cuban bread. Their breakfast is great, too. The eggs are fresh and cooked to order. The build-your-own omelette is a phenomenal way to start the day. They also do catering. If you’re just northwest of the Buccaneers stadium near the Lois & MLK area, take a stop at this little food truck, and be very pleasantly surprised. I’ll post more so that word gets out about this hidden gem. This lunch was $10.74 with tax. I am not compensated in any way, but I am a chef having previously worked in a Michelin Star restaurant, and a Food Safety Instructor/Proctor. I know how hard it can be to not get the proper exposure.“

“The staff there are very nice and warm hearted. You can tell by how they interact with the customers, that they are the lifeline of the community. The food is amazing. I had breakfast there daily when I go to my office. I usually get the cuban sandwich, cheese grits and fish, guava turnover with a cafe con leche. STAMP!!“

“This place looks like a little dive when you drive by, it is. Like the good kind. The menu is simple but is made to order by two ladies who you would want as a grandmother and a sister.. There are also some premade foods which looked pretty good. The food is real “homemade”. It appears to be geared toward working folk (me) and I loved it.“

“The online special showed 1 meat and 2 sides for $6.99. I got 1 meat and 1 side and it was $13 with a tip so either I ordered wrong or something. AC was down but they had a big machine attempting to pump cool air into a wide open entry door. I'll definitely come back and try again. Large portion for the price despite the over charge, I wasn't mad at it at all.“

“Looking for a good cafè con leche and a Cuban toast yesterday I went to the wrong place, what a disaster! Today I found Conga's cafe, what a little gem. My cafè con leche was like I like it, hot and fresh, and the Cuban toast! My husband had scramble eggs with sausage and pancakes and he was pleased, very good portion. Reasonably prices, great customer service, Maribel is excellent. I definitely will go back! I can't wait to try other food items from their menu! Great Job Conga's cafe! 👏 👍🏻😍 God bless you 🙏🏻“

“Service was non existent if because they had no wait staff. Only a bar tender. There was a small event in the back corner but that was not the issue. They just didn't have a waitress or waiter for anything but the pool areas which we were not patronizing.“

“Best Cuban food outside of Miami. Great menu choices. I had the chicken ala parilla with tostones. It was delicious. Server was friendly and very professional. Went for lunch at about 2 pm after visiting the Tampa Zoo, which is not too far away. We were seated right away. Plenty of parking. You have a choice to sit cafeteria/stool style on the one side of the building or a sit-down table on the other. Highly recommended, very reasonably priced.“

“I had my first authentic Cuban sandwich today at Gios Cafe, in Tampa. It was very tasty and quite a big sandwich! I also ordered the deviled crab which was huge both items were delicious. “First time. Got a beef empanada, a tequeno, and a beef stuffed fried yuca. Also some cilantro sauce (extra $ but worth it). Total under 11 dollars. The empanada was bigger than im used too and was nice and flaky. Pretty good all around. If im back in the area I will try again.“

“so it's a mixed review. we went to Celebrate a friend's Birthday. the package fee is ridiculous and not worth the price tag. is it fun yes but short and a bit unorganized and no where near $180. the food is good but priced on the higher side and limited menu so definitely check it out before going. drinks are same, overly priced for the location. its attached to the Quality Inn and a older space they are trying to pass as a high end south beach bar/club. our waitress was low energy and not very attentive although the place was not very busy when we went. the music is fun but way too loud for a restaurant environment.“

“A small authentic place, the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Never reall croweded, its honestly a hidden gem. If you live near it or even have to drive a few mins it'll be worth it. Only critique are the business hours. More often then not when we crave it, it turns out to be closed. So we take advantage anytime we are near and see that its open.“

“Abella’s is a hidden gem! The chicken wings were absolutely delicious; crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The grits were just as impressive: creamy, perfectly seasoned, and the perfect complement to the wings. And the coffee? Easily some of the best I’ve had in Tampa—fresh, rich, smooth, and the perfect way to finish the meal.
The food came out hot and fresh, the portions were generous, and the staff made me feel right at home. You can tell this family-run restaurant takes pride in serving authentic, quality food. If you’re looking for great Cuban comfort food, amazing chicken wings and grits, and incredible coffee, Abella’s is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back! ☕🍗⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
