“Quaint, quiet spot to have a nice lunch or dinner. Service was exceptional, owner/manager was so sweet and made recommendations. Reasonably priced and the best roast pork I’ve ever had! Mojo is made from scratch and amazing! Yuca rellena was delicious (even better than a potato ball). Can’t wait to go back and try other things. Huge portion of pork. ❤️“
“Was in town watching dogs for someone, and saw that this place A) exists and B) has cheesesteaks. I will try a cheesesteak anywhere, even if gunfire is happening around me. Thankfully, this restaurant is in a no fire zone. But for this sandwich, it would be worth the risk and the added expense of kevlar. I kid you not, their “Awesome Philly Sub” is that and more. I can’t remember eating a better cheesesteak in 2 decades, and I’ve most certainly tried. Two thumbs up isn’t quite enough… I’ll have to borrow some extra thumbs from my enemies to add to the score. Highly recommended! And I’m a cheesesteak snob… they conquered my appetite and I’ll most definitely be back when I’m out this way again. If you live in Lakeland and love sandwiches and HAVEN’T TRIED THIS PLACE, you are missing out and are making a bald eagle cry. I can’t prove that second one, but it sounds legit.“

“I frequent this place for breakfast. It has one of the best breakfast sandwiches that you will get in Lakeland. The bread comes out perfectly crisp and now they have added bacon to their menu and I tried it on my breakfast sandwich yesterday and it was outstanding. You will not go wrong ordering with this sandwich, it was amazing and it always has been and it’s getting better. Also best customer Service I’ve ever had they are amazing people and I’ve traveled all over the United States and it’s going to be hard to beat how much they care.“
“My wife and I love Cuban sandwiches and this is the number 1 restaurant to get a perfect Cuban without going to Cuba! Just kidding, I've never been to Cuba, so it's actually better because it's a few miles closer.What's incredible is the fact that I scrolled through an entire page of reviews without seeing any mention of the Shipwrecked Fries!!! These alone make it worth the price of admission!!!The only down side to this place is it closes at 6pm and sometimes we don't make it in time to partake.“
“My family and I ate here tonight. I drove by a few times and didn't get that it wasn't a fusion restaurant (because I'm bad at geography ?) So once I thought to check the menu out, we had to check it out. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. My oldest really wanted sopa de pollo, so that's why we went tonight and it got 5 stars from her. It's a good portion for an adult, or for a kid to bring some home. My toddler was happy to be able to order a cheeseburger from the kids menu, it was a good sized burger even for an older child (she ate her fries and brought the burger home) My husband got "almuerzo del cubano" it was good and fun to see on a menu (rice and fried eggs was a go-to meal for me as a picky kid) it came with platanos, but neither of us noticed the meal didnt include beans and kinda wished it did (we could have ordered them ala carte) my steak sandwich was good. I know costs on everything are going up but I do feel like the prices/vs portion sizes on the entrees specifically is a little high. I don't want that to make my entire review sound like a complaint because we will be back (I don't like making soup ?), and everything was lovely, just a smidge pricier than anticipated“
“What a wonderful and unexpected find on our road trip! Authentic Cuban food and is was truly delicious. The owners go above and beyond to ensure your visit is a positive one. The sandwiches were hearty, the cafe con leche was made with steaming hit milk and the darkest of coffees- just what we needed to continue our trip. And to top it off, Cuban music was playing in the background, bringing back childhood memories. We'll definitely go back! .“
“Been coming here for years. Food is always good, large portions, and service is always good too. Its all outdoors with limited seating. Price has gone up like everyone else but the quality has remained the same. Just remember...this ain't no fancy indoor restaurant that caters to the rich and famous. It's a really good outdoor sandwich shop and everything they make is pretty good and worth trying once.Parking: Very limited parking during lunch hour“
