“Absolutely the BEST ice cream around. As a family we drive an hour nearly every week to eat Jake's ice cream...YES, it's that good! Incredibly kind owner and staff as well, this place is a must visit if in the Sarasota area (and beyond!) Once you've tasted Jake's ice cream it's hard to ever eat anything else, he's raising the standards for homemade ice cream with every flavor - although we all have our favorites we've never tried one we didn't like!! (My personal favorite is Salty Turtle)“

“Great ice cream, but make sure if you are eating your ice cream outside in the heat of summer you ask for a bigger cup. The single cup is very small and they fill it to the max, which is great, but it also means when it starts to melt the ice cream starts spilling out the sides and there is no stopping it. I'm a grown adult with many years of experience eating ice cream and I looked like a toddler with ice cream running down my hand and arm. Ask for a single scoop in a 2 scoop cup.“

“I just wanted to let you in on a little secret. I have lived in Sarasota for 3 years and i have found the best ice cream shoppe in Sarasota. Pinecraft Ice Cream is the best. Located at 3350 Bahia Vista St. They have a delicious variety of ice cream some even dairy free. My favorite is the soft serve twist. While your there order a pizza from Village Pizza By Emma. Reminds me of the great pizza when I lived in New York. Tell them Bob sent you.“

Stopped in for ice cream as that's what we wanted after our dinner before the Super Bowl. We had been at one of these over on the Siesta Key side of the bridge and knew it would be at least as good - and it was.
A nice varied choice for ice cream, the server was friendly and patient with us, and she did a great job serving up nice, big scoops. The ice cream itself was creamy, sweet, and if I could have gone back for more, I would have. This little franchise has got it going well...“

“We were looking for somewhere to grab a quick lunch before visiting Mote Aquarium. We wanted somewhere quick and convenient and you can get much more convenient thank the Deep Sea Diner. I had a Nathan’s hotdog, my hubby a burger and my granddaughter had a grilled cheese, all included fries. The servings were more than we could eat. They, also, serve ice cream and shakes. It’s a great, convenient place for lunch or a snack while visiting the aquarium.“

Der Baumkuchen war ein Traum – frisch, saftig und mit viel Liebe gemacht. Dazu ein hervorragender Kaffee, der das Genusserlebnis perfekt abgerundet hat. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die unglaublich freundliche Eigentümerin, mit der wir ein sehr nettes Gespräch führen durften. Man spürt sofort, mit wie viel Herzblut sie ihr Geschäft führt. Auch der Service war aufmerksam und herzlich – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Geschäft selbst ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, mit einer warmen Atmosphäre, in der man gerne verweilt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder – ein echter Geheimtipp!“

“Such a cool place!!! The employee that served us was amazing, super friendly and helpful since it was our first time here. The desserts were delicious. I can’t explain the texture, it’s like nothing else I’ve ever tried. It’s not like traditional shaved ice. It’s cold but creamy and light. Melts in your mouth. Definitely a must try!“

I am so excited to try all the chocolates and delicious Ice-cream flavors.

“Stopped in on Taco Tuesday. I was on my own so I ate at the brightly lit bar inside. Service was quick and friendly. The bar area is very clean. The three beef tacos had generous mildly-spiced filling, soft toasted corn tortillas, lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese and come with taco sauce and sour cream. Hot sauce on request. The food was hot and the draft beer was cold. My meal with a draft cost $16. And change (not including tip).“

“I’m going to start reviewing things more often. Culver’s is a great company. It’s rare anything ever happens other than what is expected. Fresh, great burgers. … … … Why is there a clear plastic cup with “tips” written on it with 10 stickers attaching it to the drive thru window? I woke up @4am today to work @6am. I’m not going to be home until 8pm where I will continue to work. I’m covered in mud and sweat. The AI drive thru systems have worked perfectly the few places I’ve seen them these year. I don’t care if it’s mean… fire who ever put the tip jar up. It’s wildly offensive. Makes Culver’s look bad. I worked nights at a taco bell / kfc in south Philly when I was their age. Take your tip jar somewhere else.“
