“Went here for the first time last night with some friends. Friendly staff, great food and service was phenomenal!!! I had the lasagna and was fantastic. Made from scratch ingredients....homemade bread, made from scratch cream of broccoli soup. wings are out of this world! It is a hidden gem! We will definitely go back!!!“

From helping mom get inside with her walker to the outstanding service for a party of 9 to the fantastic food, we were so impressed. You can taste the love in every bite! They make their pasta and focaccia in-house and you can certainly taste the difference from dried bulk pasta. This was, without question, the best meal I’ve had in Sarasota — possibly anywhere. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and intimate, like being welcomed into someone’s home in Italy. Every detail was thoughtful and elegant without being pretentious.

The food was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish tasted as if it was made with love and passion — fresh ingredients, layered flavors, and perfect presentation. The homemade pasta was beyond perfection, the sauces rich and balanced, and the desserts absolutely heavenly.

And the tomahawk steak?! Stop it! Beyond the best I’ve ever had — in my life. Perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with flavor. Truly unforgettable.

A special mention to Jeff, our waiter, whose service was exceptional. He was attentive without ever being intrusive — knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely passionate about the food and wine. His recommendations were spot-on and elevated our entire evening.

Marcello’s isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. The kind that fills your heart as much as your plate. For me, it was an Italian girl’s dream (Incorvaia is my maiden name :) ) - authentic, romantic, and absolutely unforgettable.

My parents used to own a pizzeria when I was a child and there were a couple of good restaurants around back then where you could get authentic pizza here lately there are many places around town that claim to sell and make authentic New York style pizza and that’s not true. I’ve been through majority of those places and have not enjoyed the pizza whatsoever Today I was craving pizza and I googled some places near me. This restaurant came up. I took a look at their menu. I looked at pictures of their food, and I read the reviews. There were many negative reviews about the food. Those people must be out of their mind I ordered a specialty pizza all the way a white pizza and a Margherita pizza. This is true authentic Italian, New York style crust fresh ingredients, amazing food I called to tell them that we enjoyed their food and that we would be coming back. This is the only place I will order pizza from now. after all these years I finally found a pizzeria that me and my family actually enjoy eating pizza. I hope they stay in business and I hope more local people will support them because this is true authentic Italian cuisine, NY style pizza I’ve only had the pizza so I can only imagine what the rest of the dishes must taste like their ingredients are just fresh. Everything is amazing. The price is fair. The quantity is tremendous“

I had homemade ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach in a vodka sauce, my husband had sautéed parmigiana encrusted grouper. We also shared homemade stuffed mushrooms, stuffed with sausage and goat cheese. Great wines by the glass and great service. The hostesses were exceptional as well, they gave as a quick tour inside to see if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating. Definitely a new fave! This restaurant also has one of the most beautiful patios in all of Sarasota! Such a gem spot.“

“The food was amazing. But I made a reservation for 8 at 7pm. Walked in and said told them I had a reservation she came over asked me my name then she answered then phone. After she got off the phone I asked if we could please sit outside and she said “ do you really want to do that I would have to move a table” She then said I have you set up in the back and led me to the back and walked away and said ya great in a smart manor. She was walking around talking to everyone so she must be some kinda lead I wouldn’t even call her a manager but yeah with that interaction me and my 350$ dinner bill will not be back.“
