“Hoshi Sushi is the BEST SUSHI in Sarasota! This family-owned gem is run by Starr, the incredibly sweet and kind owner who makes every visit feel like you’re part of the family. The sushi is always fresh and bursting with flavor, and their miso soup is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Our favorite sushi rolls are the sweet potato and avocado – they’re simply amazing! Don’t miss the edamame and the bento boxes, which are perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Hoshi Sushi to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal! 🍱 🍣“

“The sushi here is amazing. Everything tasted so fresh. I loved the crispy rice salmon bites and tempura tofu roll, the portions were perfect with very reasonable prices. Service was wonderful as well; I was reading a book and my server turned on the small tabletop light so that I could see more clearly. I’m already looking forward to going back to try some of their other menu items.“

“Found this restaurant as a recommendation on a local Facebook group. We decided to give it a try. The restaurant is clean. The service is excellent. All of the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. All of us were very satisfied with our meals. They give you a lot of food and we all had leftovers to take home. This is a hidden Sarasota gem. I highly recommend and we will be back.“

“I came this way to visit another restaurant when I noticed this place and said let me give it a try,now I have not been to a lot of Japanese restaurants so I really have nothing to compare it to,when I first walked in I was greeted by a very nice women,I chose to sit at a table instead of the bar,the tables are all sections with a light wall on either side,beautiful lighting and pretty soft Japanese music playing,the menu is put together like an expensive leather bound book,I ordered the miso and the fried oysters,miso was some of the best I have had with much seaweed and tofu,and perfect temperature,the oysters were very plump panko crusted,cooked to perfection,oysters were very moist while the outside was nice and crispy,I was told they were imported from Japan,later I had a spicy yellowfin sushimi roll that was Soo good,all the food was very well presented with a bed of colorful veggies and pretty plates,the waitress was very nice she told me the place had been there about 8 years,they are word of mouth with no advertising,do your self a favor and give them a go,and you can thank me later“

“Ichiban is hands down one of my favorite spots! While they’re known for their sushi, I always go for the tempura and teriyaki chicken—both are absolutely delicious. The tempura is perfectly crispy, and the teriyaki chicken is tender with just the right amount of flavor. It’s always a satisfying meal, and the service is top-notch every time.
If you’re in the mood for great food and excellent service, Ichiban is a must-visit!“
