“Spectacular service and Awesome food. I wanna highlight Tanya, Georgie, Sally and Jada. I've been in this industry for a long time and I have to say they deliver a 5 star experience! if you wanna have a one of a kind hospitality and service you need to there!“
“5 stars! Everything deserves 5 stars. Super clean, super friendly, super fast service. Very large space.Food: so yummy!!!My faves: avocado salad, shumai (steamed shrimp dumpling), a hibachi (small portion of meat), and OMG SALMON tartar is like a salmon ceviche with mangoes. The green tea ice cream wow!Want to try next time: katsu and maybe squid salad. Also, rainbow or king Kai roll.Desserts: fried cheese cakeThe food is soooooo fresh and expertly seasoned. So yummy. High quality ingredients! You must come. The staff is also 5 stars“
“The food is great, specially the sashimi, they are alway fresh. The thai food is good too. I been here 3 times already and never been disappointed. Their lunch menu is different from weekend and week day FYI. We got potsticker, steam dumpling, 3 lunch dishes (those included miso and eggroll) and wonton soup. And try out their thaitea. For the area the prices are good.“
“We came here to celebrate 2 birthdays and it was just perfect. This was our first time and we were really impressed with Zai (our amazing waiter) and Andy (manager who makes amazing shots). There are no words to explain the excellent service we received from Zai. He made sure we were well taken care off and was always on top of things. The food was not too bad. As you can imagine it is an all you can eat restaurant therefore you cannot expect top of the line sushi and steak but they do offer such a wide variety that I am pretty sure you will find something extraordinary for your taste buds. The ambiance is so cute. Really like how they decorate the restaurant. It's is pretty nice looking. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and hope you will as well.“
“What an incredible dining experience! Such a delicate balance of flavors and textures, especially in a multi-course meal. The restaurant was accommodating last minute abs provided top-notch service. Finding these hidden gems definitely makes for an unforgettable experience. My favorite dish (there were so many out of 10 courses) was probably the Buri Nitsuke, a traditional Japanese dish featuring simmered yellowtail in a flavorful broth. The yellowtail absorbs the flavors from the sauce, making it tender and succulent. It was comforting and satisfying. I thoroughly enjoyed the personal touch at the end of our meal when the executive chef came over to congratulate us!“
“Angus: The Epitome of Exceptional Service at KobesIf you've ever had the pleasure of dining at a hibachi restaurant, you understand that the experience extends far beyond just the food. It's a performance, a culinary journey, and above all, an opportunity for exceptional service to elevate the evening. In the realm of such service, Angus reigns supreme at KobesFrom the moment we were seated at our table, Angus's humor and professionalism set the tone for what would be an unforgettable dining experience. His welcoming smile and genuine demeanor instantly put us at ease, making us feel like honored guests in his own home. What truly set Angus apart, however, was his attentiveness to every detail of our dining experience. He anticipated our needs before we even realized them ourselves, ensuring that our drinks were always replenished and our every request was met with a smile. But it was Angus's genuine passion for hospitality that left the most lasting impression. He didn't just serve food; he created memories. Angus's enthusiasm was infectious, enhancing our enjoyment of the meal tenfold. In a world where exceptional service is increasingly rare, Angus is a shining beacon of hospitality. His dedication to excellence, coupled with his warm demeanor and undeniable skill, make him a true asset to Kobes. If you're fortunate enough to dine at this establishment, do yourself a favor and request Angus as your server. Your taste buds will thank you, and your heart will be warmed by the experience of dining with a true master of his craft.“
“It's a very nice place, it's one of those places you wish was closer to home. I ordered the sweet green tea, the sushi fries, and the Coral Reef roll. All of it was great, I really wish I could try every roll over time but I'm not from the area at all.Would recommend for sushi enjoyers.“
“We had been wanting to try this. It's a cute, small homey place. Most tables were full but we didn't have to wait to be seated. Service was very nice and food was good. With the dinner boxes, you get a decent amount of food for the price. Sushi fish tasted fresh. I would definitely go “
“Wonderful poke bowl. One of the best in its kind. The sauces are amazing, a variety of ingredients are included in the price. Price aren’t abusive but average. I had a full bowl with 3 proteins and it was that tasty that I wanted more. Congrats guys, keep it up and please don’t let prices go crazy.“
“We found this gem yesterday (1/12/24) while on lunch. And we're happy we did. The crab Rangoons (pictured) were crispy n delicious, and the sushi was super fresh. Pictured are the Godzilla roll (by itself) and the rainbow roll / California roll. Not pictured is the meso soup. It was so good I was too busy eating it :)And thank you for exceptional service.“
“Old Heights feels like going to your favorite grandma’s house (the one you actually like) and having a great meal. Everything on the menu is good, the rotating specials are great, and the staff makes you feel right at home. A small and intimate dining experience.“
“I took my mother out on her birthday on April 2nd to this place after a friend of mine suggested it, and my word, did it truly exceed our expectations.Let's start with the atmosphere first, it felt like you were walking straight into Japan, from a nice koi pond up front to its cultural themes all the way up to the tables themselves, the people there were also extremely friendly as well greeting you with open arms, it is a great mix of American and Japanese cuisines combined. You can tell this place truly respects its Japanese roots and we were all for it. The tables also gave you the opportunity to socialize and make new friends along the way which was a nice touch as it's not everyday you get to see such a layout like this.Let's move on to the waitress and the chef for the evening. Our waitress was Hailey and our chef was Steven. They were both excellent people to be around, Hailey's enthusiastic attitude really says a lot about offering great service as she really loves her job and she always brings a smile to people's faces. As for Chef Steven, he really blew us away with his cooking skills, he had a great sense of humor as he entertained us with hilarious food centric jokes as he was cooking our meals, you can tell he had a blast with his job from start to finish, that's how great of a chef he was, he and Hailey were by far the best parts of our experience. Now we move on to the food. We ordered the Kobe Combo and the Sumo Special, and boy were they scrumptious! Chef Steven's presentations of our meals didn't disappoint at all, they were very well cooked and perfected to the core to get that mouth-watering taste, all their food options are nice, but the Kobe Combo and the Sumo Special were by far the best options they had to offer. Finally, let's talk about what they do for birthdays. They put cute little chef hats on top of you as a nice gesture, after that, it follows with the waiters, chefs and even the restaurant owners playing drums and singing in both English and Japanese to spice things up, last but not least, they serve a wonderful little cupcake, if you want to celebrate your birthday at a Japanese restaurant, this is the place to go!In conclusion, I highly recommend this place from the bottom of my heart. We most definitely look forward to returning a second time pretty soon when we get the chance.“
“First time trying them after seeing the great reviews and realizing I worked close. I got the chicken teriyaki w/ white rice and veggies there; and wow. it was so fresh and delicious! I work at the Camping World across the street. I'll definitely be coming in more often to grab lunch. Thanks for lunch ladies!“

“I was a little skeptical as this restaurant isn't in the best part of town, but sometimes those places have the best food. And this is one of those places. It's nice on the inside so don't judge the book by it's cover. I had the hibachi style chicken w/fried rice and veggies. It was delicious and fresh. My friend had chicken and shrimp and said both were good. It was so much food I couldn't finish it all! Next time I plan to get it to go because I like to mix everything up and eat it that way, but the container was so full all you could do was eat lol. I recommend this place. Better than Panda for sure. Obviously not as good as Fuji, but for 1/3 the price of there and only $1-2 more than Panda, this place is definitely worth it.“
“Randomly pulled into this sushi spot and am GLAD I did! The manager, Brooke, sat me immediately & Kyle, my waiter was very attentive. Had their 2 roll lunch special w/miso soup which hit the spot. The sake was enjoyable as well. Would certainly stop by again when in the area. It was exactly what I needed.“
“I come here all the time!! The new West Shore Roll is super good! It was extra crunchy! Besides having good music, the staff was very attentive and made sure I was okay! Sorry about asking for so much ginger :) love coming here!Vegetarian options: There’s a fresh roll and really good saladsKid-friendliness: Open to all!!“
“I had the Po Boy Roll at Sakana's and it was amazing! I loved how diverse their menu was and my meal was great! I topped it off with Tempura Ice Cream which was also delicious! Sakana's tucked away, but it's a classy gem of a place and I highly recommend it!“
“I sat at the bar where Ashlee greeted me promptly and made me a spicy bloody Mary. She informed me was happy hour, and several drinks were $5 and under including my Bloody Mary! They also had a happy hour sushi on the weekends $5 rolls. This was definitely a bargain.I started my meal ordering the Arizona roll and the Florida roll. They were both fantastic. I preferred the Arizona over the Florida midway through my meal. I also ordered the Eel and spicy tuna. If I had to pick the eel is definitely my favorite.I have never found this much sushi ? for only $20 bucks! You need to come check this place out.“
“If I could give them a zero I would. My friend went there today and she was refused service because she has a skin disease called psoriasis. Shame on you all. You need to get educated the disease is not contagious I hope you and your ignorant staff learn some manners.“
“First of all I like to say this establishment is just the best, this being a regular place me and my family frequent. The food is just amazing from the simple edamame to the signature rolls, it all meets the flavors anyone could be searching for.“
“A nice little sushi place that’s hidden in the depths of Downtown Tampa. This place isn’t in the best condition being under a parking garage, as the floors were dirty. However, there were some redeeming points about the decor; like the mural on the wall. The service was very friendly and was quick with our food. The food here is great! I enjoyed my Crab Rangoon here. The chicken curry had a great flavor to it, as well as the rice. My sushi tasted alright, but it wasn’t excellent as the curry. Overall, would come here if you’re willing to get some Japanese food in Downtown Tampa.“
“It's fast food and mainly takeout with a small sitting area to eat in.The food is good and fresh. The sushi chef made the sushi burrito in front of me. I'm getting that the next time I go there!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Hibachi“
“Probably the best ramen shop in Tampa. Heads-up there's no shichimi powder in the store. The home-made chili sauce is a must-try. Perfect spot for a Saturday or Sunday hangover-busting brunch. Nice place for a dinner date without denting your wallet.“
“Whoo Whoo! Hi Y’all, It’s been a while since my last review.Reach me @play.ste.le ?This small Quick-service restaurant is all you need to look for Authentic Japanese food ? in? Downtown Tampa? I ordered for the first time and LOVE IT!!!Japanese Beef Curry - the taste of Curry is actually very juicy and mouthful pairing with Rice. I also have little plum pickle on the side as you could see in the picture.Shumai - Chewy Chewy! And Yummy Yummy. You should try this out too. ?Whenever you’re craving for Authentic Japanese Food. Check Junmai Station out’!!! ??Vegetarian options: The restaurant menu contains certain veggie dishes, which tastes Amazing and Japanese Authentic.“
“Exceptional sushi, paired with impeccable service, defined my experience at this establishment. Although there was a slight oversight in the delivery of my appetizer, the staff promptly rectified the situation, ensuring I felt thoroughly accommodated. Their dedication to customer satisfaction elevated the dining experience, leaving a lasting impression of excellence.“
“This is a favorite spot of ours, and we drive an hour to get here. Our favorite things to order are the dynamite scallops, kamikaze roll, King Kong roll, & the steamed buns (Katsu & shrimp are the best). Of course, everyone’s palette is different, but those are my recommendations. The ambience is great for date night. We have been able to get in without reservations by showing up right at 5 when they open, but I strongly recommend making a reservation just to be safe.“
“Well! Loved the FLORIDA ROLL! That is what I am looking for ‘salmon, avocado, tuna, and cream cheese’. Needed cucumber as well :) I also ordered rainbow sushi but it was not delicious, rice was hot and I think it was changing the taste of sushi. Oh! I also do not recommend the Miso soup. There was a small cube tofu in it, just one. And taste was weird, maybe because of the water of the soup, I don’t know. As overall, it was good. I went there at 9.30 pm. The foods’ taste can be fresher in early times“
“I had the Hibachi and my kids had the sushi with a side of Hibachi fried rice! It was great. The cook was fun and engaging. The waitress was very attentive to every little detail and ask. My mom was thoroughly impressed, which is hard to do. ?“
“Title: Sushi Avenue: A 12-Year Culinary Love AffairFor 12 years, Sushi Avenue has been my sushi sanctuary. With its fresh fare, impeccable service, and wallet-friendly prices, this spot in Tampa never disappoints. Whether you're a sushi veteran or a newcomer, it's a must-visit destination.“
“We had another amazing omakase dinner at toki. Chef Chris always serves us with an amazing selection of sushi and is definitively my favorite sushi joint in Tampa.Notes for those interested:*~$75/person for omakase and reservations/call ahead is recommended*Thursday-Saturday are the suggested nights for omakase as Chefs receives seafood shipment in from Japan1. Tuna Appetizer2. Yellowtail w/ kelp3. Seared tuna w/tataki4. Octopus w/ miso5. Toro roll6. Scallop w/ lemon7. Seared salmon belly8. Sea Bream w/ yuzu zest9. Ameobi (eat the crispy ? head)10. Sea Eel“
“I got the scallops entree with veggies and brown rice. It was made very well and had tons of flavor. The entree came with a “salad” that consisted of hard, yellow chunks of iceberg lettuce hearts. You shouldn’t disrespect your customers, like that. You could’ve left that part out because it screams cheap and mediocre. Elevate or just don’t serve it with your opinion of a salad. Thanks.“
“Wow what a great experience here! I get the craving for poke almost every day and have been to some of the best spots in Arizona as there everywhere, not very many here. This is the best tasting poke bowl I have ever had and the customer service was fantastic from Joe and Dennis. Decent service is very rare these days but theses guys went over and beyond with a big and friendly smile. Thanks to the owners for keeping Quality people!“
“The Best Sushi-grill locations I have ever been to. Words cannot describe how fresh the food is. So delicious. You have a choice from a variety of different cooked or premium sushi rolls and amazing Hibachi meals. Everything on the menu is worthy. The service is magnificent. Very fast n friendly. We plan on returning again and again!“
“Traveling through Tampa. We liked everything overall. The waitress/hostess Lacey was absolutely wonderful! Crab ragoon wasn't crispy as we expected, but decent. Saturday special on sushi! Buy 1 get 1 half off. Fried rice- shrimp & veggie were delish. Minus the shrimp. Both rice & sushi shrimp was over cooked & rubbery. Honestly still enjoyed meals, would come back if we were traveling Tampa again. Lacey is 5 stars!“
“It was pretty crazy. It surpassed what I expected...The fried shrimp tempora roll was really good and fancy looking... The fried burritos were really good. I had the Kickin Chicken fried with Cheetos. My friend had the Fry Me In The River. He said "it was basically just a sushi burrito bro that Shht was good" lol.The apps we got spicy couliflower and pork wantons they were good but considering everything else kind of light really. But if you want to spend some more money and get something they are good. Just not really necessary. The service was was fine. Order on the kiosk or online. They work slow making this food. You can watch them. They do a really good, clean and neat job though. There is small bar type seating all along the wall to wait or eat if you want. Friday night expect to wait 30 minutes... Wasn't a bad wait though. This place is definitely worth a try. I'll be back.Parking: In the strip mall plaza.“
“Worth the trip and looks like the owners have a few other locations. The staff was very friendly and efficient with handling so many orders non stop. The food was also delicious and so was every plate I saw them hand out. Highly recommend giving them a visit and if you’re with someone that doesn’t like sushi, there are plenty of other walk up restaurants in the immediate area for them to spend a few dollars at while you get the best that money can buy at Zukku.“
“Great place to eat. I love the chicken and shrimp here they also give you sauce and chopsticks with it. Service is great they always pay attention to your orders the only thing that I didn’t like is that they don’t use gloves and they do touch your food while cooking it but the food is great and so is the service.“
“Always pleased with the service and food here. I've been using this restaurant for well over 8 years with very few issues (everyone makes mistakes) Speedy delivery, well before the expected time. They take note of and are cautious of food allergies that my children have. Tokyo is my #1 choice when it comes to local Chinese and I'm glad to have them nearby!“
“If you're hunting for a spot where the sushi's endless and the vibes are friendly, Saki Sushi is your place. Bella, the manager extraordinaire, is the heart and soul of this joint. She's not just good at her job – she's funny, nice, and treats everyone like family. You can bet she's always making sure things run like clockwork. And hey, it's not just Bella. Marco and his wife, they're the dream team of waitstaff. Always got a smile on their faces, and they hustle like nobody's business. You'd think they're enjoying the party as much as you are.So, if you're in the mood for some darn good sushi (and hibachi) and a vibe that feels like home, Saki is the spot. Trust me, you won't be leaving hungry – or without a smile on your face.“
“A staple of South Tampa.Being a non sushi lover married to a sushi fanatic can be trying. The majority of sushi houses don't leave much on the menu if sushi is not your thing. Yoko's is the exception. Many items that are fully cooked and a house rice dish that has every protein in the book. The wife loves their rolls and we have never had a bad experience.“
“Really cool building and the sushi was amazing. I have a gluten allergy and was able to get GLUTEN FREE soy sauce. They also were able to make some tempura rolls just normal so that they were gluten free.Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy“
“I was scared it was going to be over priced but I'm glad to say I think the price to proportion is good or fantastic and nice tasty food. I got the kimchi with green onions (14.95), Ninja Lobster Rol(19.95), Perrier(4.50), and Mochi ice cream(7.95). I feel like the lobster roll should have beena hot one but other than the temperature of that one dish it was all fantastic and different.Wheelchair accessibility: It has a ramp though it could be bigger.“
“DEF MY GO TO! Me and my friend are regulars there.Ever since they were on fowler before they relocated . They open late until 2am and the staff is so patient. They are always juggling the dine in customers, along with the to go orders from all the delivery apps as well as walk in customers and they get it all done despite the chaos of it all. The food is amazing, the udon noodles are a must. Godzilla roll is 1 of my favs. Salmon skin salad too. The have dinner options for the sushi rolls as well. The prices are very reasonable.“
“Friendly owner, real Thai food, nice area. Recommanded! อาหารอร่อยเจ้าของร้านน่ารัก ดูแลดีมากๆค่ะ ใครผ่านมาที่นี้แนะนำให้แวะทานข้าวกันนะจ๊ะ“
“Staff is always nice and pleasant and the Food is always perfectly done and Affordable. I've Been going here for a few years since before Covid and while most other Asian Restaurants have raised their prices way too High after Covid and don't even keep the same Quality on how they prepare their Food this place has maintained their great Service and Quality. I've moved further away since Covid but still make the Drive back to get Quality Cuisine. Definitely recommend this place.“
“I encountered efficient service and authentic Japanese cuisine at this restaurant run by a Japanese family. The omusubi with plum and seaweed salad was delightful—I truly savored it. Although the lady who took my order initially seemed rude, it may be due to her hearing problems. However, her husband kindly assisted me with my order. I'm already looking forward to returning to try either the kitsune udon or karaage curry.“
“You really can’t beat the price for the lunch special, not to mention kids eat free in under 4! $13.95 all you can eat sushi and hibachi! Kids love the chicken nuggets and French fries and the fried rice. Only thing is the parking situation isn’t always ideal and when you get stuck parking super far away with multiple kids it’s difficult. Only downside is we’ve had the same server the past three times we’ve come and she wasn’t very pleasant the first time (figured that the 4 kids at our table can be a little much), the second time she charged us the wrong amount, this last time she never even offered us refills on our drinks. Not that she was bad or wouldn’t want her to serve us again but just something to keep an eye on is all. Outside of that love going here and usually enjoy the food.“
“Very impressed with this place! Super cool atmosphere and amazing okonomiyaki. The portions are so big that you can make them into separate meals! They also have a wide variety of drinks to choose from. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu!“
