“Tried Umu recently and it absolutely delivered. The Smokey Dragon roll was layered, flavorful, and perfectly balanced from the first bite to the last. The Rising Sun surprised me with how clean and bright it tasted while still bringing a satisfying kick. Fresh fish, thoughtful combinations, and a menu that feels curated rather than crowded. “I've been coming here weekly since Krate opened back in 2022. The fried rice bowls are exceptional and the portion sizes are always very filling. Enough to reheat for a second meal and be full both times. The yum yum sauce is the best I've had from any local restaurant and makes the rice delicious!

The ramen is also quite good. They make sure to load you up with toppings and your protein of choice. The broth is salty but filling and really soaks the flavor into the noodles rather than sliding right off like other locations. However I will note that the egg is standard boiled.

But what makes this place shine above the rest is the owner. He is incredibly friendly and really grows to know his customers. He often hands me something extra when I come late in the evening and I truly feel like a cherished regular. I'll continue coming to this place routinely and couldn't recommend it more!“

“We got seated and chef thought it was funny to bark like a dog while chopping up the meat. I was so discussed. I have been to Asia and saw the dogs hanging in the market it was awful and I have 3 Chinese children. I spoke to Manager who seemed to blow me off like eating dog is normal. Do you serve dog? Hope not remember this is American. My family left I could not eat after that and it’s not funny to pretend to be chopping up a dog.“

“My daughter picked this Sushi place to celebrate her birthday! We arrived around 6pm and it was not very busy.
Based on some raving reviews, i ordered Tuna Tataki (appetizer) and Captain Lumpy. My daughter ordered Danny Roll and Explosion Roll. They were all delicious. I would definitely recommend three out of four. The only roll I would probably not order again is Captain Lumpy, not that there’s something wrong with it but it just didn’t wow me the way the others did.
The atmosphere was as you would expect a small Japanese restaurant would be. It could use a renovation but the most important part is that the food is delicious. The hostess is very friendly and food is served fairly quickly!! Maybe next time I would order take out. Prices for these specialty rolls are around $13ish. Some are a bit less or bit more… Give them a try and support local family owned businesses“

“I recently had the privilege of dining at Sarku Japan, discreetly located within the refined culinary enclave known as the Citrus Park Mall food court. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere struck a delicate balance between contemporary chaos and suburban elegance, underscored beautifully by the distant hum of children near the arcade and the occasional announcement about lost shoppers.

For my entrée, I selected the chicken teriyaki accompanied by white rice, a composition that demonstrated admirable restraint while still delivering remarkable depth. The chicken possessed a glistening lacquer of teriyaki sauce that clung to each bite with intention and grace. The rice served as a humble yet effective canvas upon which the richer notes of the dish could fully express themselves. To elevate the experience further, I paired the meal with a peach lemonade from neighboring Charleys Cheesesteaks, whose bright citrus profile and delicate sweetness provided a surprisingly sophisticated counterbalance.

At first glance, Hibachi Express might look like your typical fast-casual hibachi chain, but the quality really stands out.
