“I love this place.. was in the mood for hibachi Saturday night I didn’t want to go through the whole waiting to be seated nonsense. I Remembered a friend told me about this place so we checked it out.. myself and my husband thought it was great. I found the juice to the chicken and shrimp was a little sweet but it was great.. will be back for sure..“
“Today we had kawa for lunch, it was my friend's first time. I've been before. We were waited on by Sophia, she provided great service. Very friendly and knows how to work the room and get to her tables. She didn't talk too much was still able to be very friendly mad sure all her tables had what they needed. Thank you “
“Our server was Cherry and she was extremely accommodating of our party. Always on top of refills and reorders with a pleasant demeanor. She went above and beyond to check for a particular ingredient in the dessert options, too, which was deeply appreciated. Both she and the manager on duty enhanced our dining experience.“
“This place is absolutely delicious. First of all it’s adorable inside. it was very busy and we sat at the bar. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and kind.We ordered an appetiser of coconut shrimp which was crispy and super hot and fresh and delicious. Then we each ordered two rolls which came to us on these giant dragons. We were not expecting that and the presentation was absolutely amazing.I loved watching everyone else’s plates come out of the sushi bar area because the presentation on each and every plate no matter what was ordered was absolutely impeccable. It was like an absolute work of art.I will definitely be coming back here because of the friendliness the service and the overall atmosphere 10 out of 10!!“
“My girlfriend and I were looking for a good place to eat in the tarpon area as we were exploring and we came across this gem. The food was delicious! The lady working there gave exceptional service. Very sweet and met all our needs with so much grace. Highly recommend their hibachi and sushi!“
“Another small hidden gym this place is absolutely perfect. It's a small restaurant next to the Walmart on Tarpon Ave. The prices are very reasonable and the food is phenomenal. This restaurant is super clean honestly it should get six stars ?“
“we love this place and order at least once every 2 weeks. but I beg of you, please STOP putting the cold sushi on top of hot items in the same bag. The hot food basically cooks the food above it and it makes the sushi warm and not the ideal temp. otherwise we love the hibachi and sushi choices. We really do enjoy the place!“
“This place is sooo good! Esp if you get the noodles instead of rice. A little pricey still but cheaper than the other ones. The hibachi chefs are hilarious and really know what they're doing! The food was superb and the portion sizes were beyond satisfying. Gave a 4 star because the staff, however- the host and whoever makes the reservations over the phone, was rude and dismissive. We waited over an hour after our reservation time to even be seated at a table, and it was so late then that we were all starving. We will be back, the chef and the flavor of the food won us over but definitely plan on making a reservation and arriving an hour or 2 earlier than when you'd actually like to eat. Kind of put a damper on our 13 yr olds birthday having to wait until 9 pm to eat and our reserved time was 7 but it all worked out in the end I guess..“
“The larin Japan theme doesnt flow well.Iexpected more of fusion between the two cuisines.Thwy offer Tacos and hibachis style meals but nothing out of the ordinary. A burria eggroll or hibachi burrito would make it more of a concept. The food was ok . Didnt taste bad or anything just reguler stuff you would find in a tex mex or hibachi takeout place“
“Great little sushi place with a wonderfully friendly staff to get lunch or dinner at if you're visiting Downtown NPR! Every time I visit here the experience is always delightful, when you walk in you’re greeted by staff members with sincere warmth. The servers, chefs, and all of the staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and have such a positive energy that it’s infectious. If you’re new to Asian cuisine, no question is the wrong question and they are happy to help with anything you need, because I’ve brought friends here, and even when I came my first time in June 2023, it was a bit overwhelming because of how huge the menu is! It’s definitely worth it though, and the staff is super attentive without being too intrusive, it’s the perfect balance! It’s rare that the food, service, and decor all combine to such an excellence the way Kazu’s does. Everything we ate was flavorful and delicious. It was very very delightful! It’s always very good. I personally love sitting and eating at the sushi bar because it gives you that more authentic experience watching the chefs make the meals for you, and then they hand them to you right there. The rolls are great, they have specials everyday if we want to go a more affordable route on rolls, but if you’re looking for a more specific type of roll, I highly recommend the ‘Rainbow Roll’ and the ‘Kazu’s House Roll’. The ‘Tempura Japanese Bagel Roll’ is very delicious as well, if you’re not looking for rolls, the ‘Whitefish Teriyaki’ is to die for, actually it’s to LIVE for, comes with white rice, miso soup, and it also had fried vegetables, I think it was stir fry, either way it was scrumptious! Might I emphasize how good the miso soup is, as well as the edamame, oh and the sake! The Sour Apple Sake is a must every time for me, I need to try the plum they have, they also have strawberry but you have to order it by the bottle. They have so much variety when it comes to beverages, whether they are alcoholic or not! This place has it all, definitely a lunch/dinner highlight, highly highly recommend.
