About Kōsen

Kōsen offers an exceptional dining experience with a beautiful, spa-like atmosphere and attention to detail in its design. The Omakase menu features a range of dishes, including traditional Japanese options like Buri Nitsuke, a simmered yellowtail dish. The food is meticulously curated, with many dishes using ingredients that the restaurant ferments in-house, ensuring a unique experience. Recent reviews highlight that the service has improved, with friendly and attentive staff making diners feel welcome. Chef Andrew plays a key role in creating a wonderful atmosphere, making the experience engaging and fun. Customers have praised the delicate balance of flavors and textures in the food, especially the standout lobster, which is among their top favorites. While some guests noted a hidden 20% fee and the need to tip on top of that, the overall experience is still seen as well worth the cost. The Michelin recognition is well-deserved, and many look forward to their next visit, with high recommendations for Kōsen as a fantastic choice for sushi fans.

A unique and divinely inspired authentic culinary journey! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience celebrating a 29 year anniversary. Thank you Chef and staff!

There is no other dining experience in Tampa quite like Kosen. The meal and the experience are worth every penny. We went for my wife's birthday and they treated us like family. The omakase service requires a reservation and is amazing. We enjoyed the 13 course winter menu. The chef carefully craft each dish in front of you and they explain the dishes as well. We also had the sake and wine pairings which were phenomenal. They were also carefully selected for the courses and well...read full review
