“We have been coming here since they opened. And have been very happy. Tonight we ordered our normal number 23., we were told it will be an extra 50 cents to make it a little spicier cooked in. I'm not quibbleing about the 50 cents, but it's never been done before. Just saying.“

“We took our family from out of town to the Sunday brunch last Sunday, and I was embarrassed. We have been there many times for brunch and it was always great. This past Sunday was was not good. We had to wait for service to get a drink, the egg hot plate were empty and it took quite awhile to refill. The pancakes were hard, chicken tenders were dry. I’m not sure why it was like that because in the past it has always been good. The juice tub was pretty much empty, the syrup jar was empty and when I gave it to the young man it took it and walk away, not saying a word. The best was the prime rib, although it would have been nice to have mashed potatoes to go with it. The guy at the carving station did a great job making omelets and carving. It may be a long time until we return.“

It's one of the simplest things to stock keep it in the freezer till someone wants it Thank goodness for reveolis cuz we all know we lost Willie Jews. They don't have gluten free anymore. Our server, Dennis, was absolutely rude.... slamming his hands on the table, yelled at us that he was servicing our table, yet walked by multiple times not asking us anything. The manager made sure we were taken care of. GM and manager made our experience great. I happily give a 5 star review because a bad employee doesn't make a bad place, however, Dennis needs some work.“

“My wife and I love going there. We always sit on the bar side. Amanda and Brianne, are the best bar tenders there. Along with Cassandra, Felicia and Sonja are recently new but are shaping up to be as good as Amanda and Brianne. They always are on top of things there no matter how busy they are. The management staff is all friendly especially Chris. We watch him help in every station there. No matter how busy they are they always take the time to say hello. We moved to the Villager's about a year and a half ago when we discovered this gem. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food at a reasonable price.“

“Artman’s is TERRIFIC. I ordered a smoked prime rib and smoked turkey for Christmas dinner. Plus, a ton of sides, etc. Everything was ready at the time of pick-up. The entire staff was extremely helpful and professional in the preparation and explanation of how to re-heat, serve, etc. The prime rib and turkey was BEYOND delicious. “What a wonderful hidden gem in Belleview. You would be surprised that a place as nice as this could come from this town but be pleasantly surprised. The breakfast menu is limited and at first I thought that would be an issue but no- what they do have is amazing! Not always do they have tiramisu but if they do while you are there- be sure to get it! The inside dining atmosphere is quite an eyefull. You will feel like your eating inside of a thrift shop. So much chaos but in a fun way. Be sure to stop by this spot in Belleview - you will not regret it!

Parking: Parking is available. There is no valet service offered here if a man named "Greg" offers to park your car for you- Do not trust him!“

“5+ stars to the City Fire restaurant and the amazing HOPE for a fantastic experience and great food. Our 14 year old Akita Wishy was warmly greeted and invited to join us at one of the outdoor patio tables. Hope was SO great with Wishy -- lots of water refills -- and finding out Hope loves dogs and that City Fire is so dog friendly just made our visit that much better. Oh and the French Dip and Burger we ordered were great -- and the Bourbon Sour -- perfect! We'll bring Wishy back for more fun soon -- and we'll be requesting one of Hope's tables for sure!“

“REVIEW VKI JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Today, 31 December 2025, my wife and I decided to have lunch at the Sakura Japanese restaurant in Colony Plaza, The Villages, Florida. We arrived at 1400 and there was a large number of people eating lunch, but seating remained available and our waiter soon appeared. We ordered a CocaCola and Green Tea while we perused the menu. My wife decided on the Tempura Bento box with pork katsu, while I chose the lunch combination of sushi and sashimi with salad and soup. We were both delighted! I found the sushi/sashimi combination to be delicious; more than I could comfortably eat after the salad with carrot-ginger dressing and clear soup. I took a taste of her pork katsu and found it surprisingly moist (much more moist and appealing than other Sakura restaurants here in The Villages). I was pleased that my tea was refilled on request.

(One interesting aside: My sashimi plate was decorated by a variety of fresh spice leaves and a mysterious nest of what appeared to be shredded daikon radish with a green glow emanating from within. The green glow turned out to be a small battery powered green LED for ambiance!) All in all, an appealing performance by this Sakura at Colony Plaza; we shall return“

“My mom introduced me to this cafeteria while I was visiting her from NYC. I had the Oxtail dish with rice and beans and maduros… and it was AMAZING!! It was so good, I had to go back at least one more time to have the oxtail before leaving Florida. Next time I come back to visit, I would love to try the other dishes (they all look so delicious). I love oxtail, tho… and I have to admit that this is one of the best oxtail dishes that I’ve had. As far as the atmosphere of the cafeteria, I found it to be clean and bright while surrounded by quaint and cute decor that made me feel comfortable and relaxed while having my meal. I had such a great experience that I look forward to visiting Villa Pinar again the next time I visit my mom!“

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“On July 24, 2025 went to Cheng's with a party of 8. We had a reasonable 10 minute wait and were seated.

Our server got to us promptly with our drinks and took our orders. Our food came out fast and fresh and was delicious.

Half of our group had never been there before and were very impressed, and that's not an easy task.“
