“I go to The Lake 85 so often it's hard for me to pick out a particular experience; they are all very special. I'm from NJ and l miss my food. Good pizza is very hard to find in FL. One day l had a craving for pizza and l asked the bartender if the chef could make me a special pizza. Despite being busy, he did just that. It was the best pizza I've had since walking on the boardwalk at Seaside Heights NJ. The bartender, Corey, then suggested l try one of the many craft beers on tap. He then went out of his way to put one of their many TVs on the football game l couldn't find elsewhere. GO FSU! To borrow a line from "Cheers", The Lake 85 is a warm and wonderful place where "Everyone knows my name". A full menu featuring all of your favorites as well as daily specials, virtually any drink a person may desire and incredible customer service.Kid-friendliness: Kids are a part of the atmosphere. “This tavern is one of the most consistent places for great food and service! Love their meatloaf lunches. The only reason for the 4 star part of this is because of personal preference, almost all the seating has no backrests. Other than that, Love it here!“
“It smells when you walk in, but it's clean. I didn't like you walk through the outside seating with people smiling to get in. Big draw back for people who have asthma. They have lots of TV's. They had sports and movies on. Our waitress was great. She was always walking by asking if we needed anything and refilling our tea. She was extremely busy, but could handle her load. She was upbeat with a good personality. I have OCD, so when they brought us our silverware and it's pulled out of the holder sitting at the hostess desk it grossed me out. I'm so glad I carry my own silverware when going out to eat. The food was good. We had onion rings and mozzarella cheese for appetizers. My dish was chicken, broccoli and a salad. My husband had blackened white fish with veggies. It was all delicious. They have a variety of options to choose from on the menu. We will be going back to try the wings. I do recommend trying Beef O' Brady's out. It's family friendly, but also had a bar section.“

“Ok I tried the buffalo chicken wings . When they came out I was like wow these look exactly like the wings at the anchor bar in buffalo where they were invented. “Ok if you're looking for a place with a mixologist and fancy cocktails you're not gonna get it. If you're looking for cheap drinks and smoke inside yep you'll get that. They've upgraded the menu since I started coming in. They've got an air fryer, toaster oven and a George Forman grill. They can make pizza burgers fries and wings now. The pizza is decent they offer a limited number of toppings but if you forgot to eat before drinking or are hungry while drinking you've got some options. The service is great they actually come say hey no matter how busy they stop by and say hi. If you're not a regular they know and will spend a little extra time with you. They have karaoke on Friday nights and most people are pretty good. If you're in Clearwater and wanna hang with some locals stop in. If you're looking to get out the house and go to a neighborhood dive bar stop on in.“
“Great atmosphere. Right on the trail next to the parking garage makes it easier. They've done alot of renovations the past couple years that have made their patio area much more comfortable. Dogs are welcome and small play area for kids. Great beer choices on rotating taps. Reasonable prices.“
“We've been searching for a new place. Wings excellent, fries ans onion rings excellent pizza was good. Tracy the bartender/server jack of all trades was amazing. When we told her it was our 1st visit she welcomed us, gave us an overview of the menu, happy hour, events and it really made us feel welcomed and comfortable in the establishment. We got a variety of fries. Rings, wings and pizza, a couple of soft drinks and spent $33 plus tip, and we brought home leftovers. Next time will be less because we won't be over ordering to get a feel for the food quality. Looks like we found a new go to spot when we want to go out without breaking the bank.“

The bar was across the street from my hotel so very convenient and close by, but I could also sit on my balcony from my hotel and enjoy the music as well! This is a hoppin' local spot though and you might not be able to get a seat at the bar regardless of what day and time you arrive. Although I clearly did not fit in with the crowd, the bartender was very kind and made sure my drink was always full. She was busting her butt with a full house and serving on her own! Drinks are strong and they have a good food menu (CHEAP!). I enjoyed a half pound of extra hot boneless wings ($6 was a steal for the amount of food) and had leftovers to take home. There are plenty of TVs but no WiFi. I will definitely return here for another round of beverages and some tasty food.“

“Wow, very, very busy Saturday night! Our server was really nice and did her best. I got there at 7 pm and drank drank and got my food at 9 pm. If you are there to watch a game on one of their many t.v.'s and not in a rush for food, then go here. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way, either. My food was good. “We visited Strokers on our visit to family in Palm harbor. When we arrived we were promptly greeted and serviced by Courtney. The food (freddys shrimp) and drinks (double up for a buck!!) were great, but nothing compared to the service we received from Courtney. She was fun, bright, energetic and polite.
