La Picana Grill REST Lake Worth is a Venezuelan restaurant inside a marketplace. It is not a fine-dine place, but it offers delicious food in an unexpected setting. The lunch specials have really good prices. Customers have enjoyed the Picana Gallo pinto, which is a steak with a piece of sausage, deep fried cheese, avocado, rice with pinto beans, an egg on top, and plantains. The chicken tacos were delicious and looked wonderful. A mango drink was awesome. The picanha steak was done medium and was cheaper than 90% of the steakhouses out there. The steak with chorizo, avocado, plantains, and rice was like a NY strip, super soft, perfectly cooked medium, and every single side dish was amazing. A cachapa with picanha, a soup, and a picanha plate with salad were all delicious. Tostones were amazing and the chicken is very well seasoned. The tequeños appetizers were so cheesy. The special cachapa was stuffed with queso de mano and steak, topped with chicharrón, a side of nata, and lots of parmesan cheese. The platter for two had steaks, sausages, grilled cheeses, chicken, sides, and a super tasty salad. The employees were kind and fast. The service was great and the staff was friendly and very welcoming. The restaurant is inside a grocery store, so the seating is limited, but there is a good amount of space—about six tables, plus window-side seating with plenty of highchairs. There is an entrance door on the side of the building where orders can be placed. It is a hidden gem.
