50 Best Pizza Restaurants near Palmetto Bay

“In red been trying to visit Maxwells for over a year!
I finally made it there for lunch today. If you want to go for dinner, GOOD LUCK! The reason I give 4 stars is because of the seating system. They have no host/hostess. If you come in and there’s no tables, you just have to stand around and wait for one to open. Then you have to jump in it before anyone else gets it! And you have to clean it yourself. There’s no wait staff. Only cooks/cashier/bartender. So, every time I’ve gone, there’s been a wait. The parking is horrible. Super small parking lot for 4 businesses. IF you get a parking spot, getting a table is a whole other mission! We walked in, walked around, saw some people getting ready to leave, and then someone else swooped in and took the table. We’re not going to fight someone for a table. So we left.
Today, going for lunch, on a weekday, was the way to go.

We ordered a “PBAY special pizza”, a “fungus among us”, and a chopped pepperoni pizza. All of the pizzas were really good! I also ordered the goat cheese salad. It was amazing! Super yummy! The “fungus among us” was absolutely delicious! One of my favorite pizzas ever!

They have a lot of outdoor seating. It was hot out, but not too bad with their big fans. They also added shades to the outdoor seating. The outdoor chairs and sofas are comfy. The chairs inside, not so much.

The prices are reasonable. For our 3 pizzas and the salad it was $58 before tip. Not much to tip for if you’re going to the counter to order, and again to pick up the food, and then taking it home to eat.

I didn’t get any pictures, but I’m sure we’ll be back again and I’ll probably order the fungus pizza and goat cheese salad again because I loved them!“

“New for me. Called. Automated system texted me a link to order online. Easy to order and checkout. I live fairly close so I immediately left to pick it up. I got there 10-12 minutes later, drove up, pizza was ready and waiting. Cheery lady gave me my pizza and off I went! I'm so happy with this experience. I'll be ordering other pizzas (I got Hawaiian) in the future and seeing it becomes my "go to" local pizza place.“

“Ordered cheese, pepperoni, and meat lovers pizza, plus wings, on Christmas while visiting family in Miami. Most places were closed, but Jerry & Joe’s came through with good quality food. The pizza was hot, proportionately topped, and the wings were crispy and flavorful. My new go-to pizza place when in town, until further notice.“

“I’ve been coming to this Sir Pizza for as long as I can remember. As a person who isn’t the biggest fan of tomato sauce their cheese sticks are my go to and are delicious! I was so excited when I came today and they had a new garlic cheese toast!! They don’t add too much sauce to their pizza so this has been the only pizza place where I have recently started eating the pizza. This has always been our go to pizza place, good food, good service, and it’s in a great spot“

Paulina, our server, was delightful.Lots of pizza and salad options. Nice wine list, but doing dry January, so had to pass it up! I’m looking forward to returning….could do this once a week!“

“All Stars is by far one of the best pizzerias in the area. Great tasting pizzas and the garlic bread is amazing. Love the fact that it's one of the few real pizzerias that allows you to truly customize their pies. And as for the service, they take it seriously, and very professional. They care about customer service and about your experience. I usually order via Uber Eats and even though it's through the app, they always make sure the order was right and that you were satisfied. All in all, a great place!“

“Restaurant is family friendly. Felt the pizza was soggy and not crispy though it was thin. Tried the Crocce and it was ok (tasted like a ball of mashed potato and crispy outside coating like arancini balls). Salad was fresh but nothing unique.“

“The pizza has to be one of Miami’s best. Spicy Pepperoni all the way it has a pepperoni so fresh and natural it almost speaks. Big shoutout to the crispy wings however the sauce it is unbelievable is something that is hard to quiet describe you just have to try it and let all the flavors settle in it is almost like an out of body experience. Compliments to all the staff super friendly, great service and I also let the chef know how wonderful everything was. Also big shoutout to master chef Michael Schwartz for keeping a high level of quality throughout his restaurants, next round’s on me buddy!“

“We happened to stumble on this place, it was raining and I was craving some pizza. So we googled what was nearby, and this was a delicious surprise! Originally ordered to go with the intention of just maybe having a slice, before heading home but we ended up finishing the whole pie! We ordered the “Miami basic b” and there’s nothing basic about this pie. There’s a light spice that makes the marinara so flavorful, and the crust had the perfect crunch to cure the rainy blues away! This is definitely a place I’ll be ordering from much more. The service was also great, everyone was super nice and quick to help out. “Literally *the best* pizza in Miami. Period. Look through my reviews and see for yourself how often I leave good reviews. Most places in Miami, especially pizza places, are AT BEST meh enough for me to not leave a review at all. But every now and then a gem like this opens up.

To the owners: please please please stick to traditional Neapolitan pizza like what I had today. I've seen some places open up and then they start americanizing the pizza little by little until you're just getting a nasty sloppy pile of cheese. Don't do it, what you have is SPECTACULAR and I hope to keep coming back for a long time.“

“Fun fact, this location used to be a pizza place called Pizza Rev pre-COVID. They abruptly closed which made me super sad because they had delicious and cheap gluten free pizza and I used to go all the time.

So I was overjoyed to discover this place, they have gluten free AND vegan options and they were DELICIOUS. My husband had the vegan make-your-own with jalapeños and I had a sausage ricotta gluten free, forgot the name one. Both pizzas were a 10/10.

They have some outdoor seating which was nice. Good ambiance from what I could tell inside.

My only complaint - it would be nice if they had a fake meat option for my husband. Overall, I liked their pizzas more than the Detroit style pizza place in Midtown.

Vegetarian options: Vegan cheese and veggie toppings. However, there is no fake meat option.

I stopped by just to tell you about my experience at Palenque pizzeria on 40, the girl who served me who I think was called Débora, was very kind and attentive when taking my order, I was in the company of some friends who had arrived from Arkansas and at all times she was kind and attentive! I noticed that together with her partner Leany they have tremendous chemistry to work with at all times, they demonstrated their good attitude, their desire to work and lots of laughter everywhere! For everything else, the delicious pizzas and smoothies needless to say!! Thank you very much for your attention!!“
