“My group and I are out of towners and were looking for great food while in Melbourne. Not only were we impressed by the taste and quality of the food, but the service was amazing. All of the staff members were extremely friendly and the owner made us feel like celebrities with his engagement with us! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food!“

“Don's Hoagies - Melbourne - 5 Stars "There are some men who lift the age they inhabit."- Anderson The man who owns this family-run and eponymously-named restaurant is a trendsetter in the restaurant industry. Don, who for many years could be seen manning the counter in his Marine flat top barking orders to his troops of employees, was a sight to behold. Don took a basic premise - make a sandwich on fresh bread with fresh, real ingredients - and made it his mission. Thirty years ago at its first location, the sandwich board was a smattering of several sandwiches, and it was run in a straightforward way. You want a hoagie? - "There is the list." Do you have a question? - "No questions allowed." Don knew he was providing the best product and no one could touch him. He has a wall of signed portraits, several of whom I know are now deceased. The menu board is now bigger and Don's son currently mans the helm. Gone from the refrigerator case are the missives about working hard, contributing to America, and being proud of what you accomplish. Occasionally, there would be a hand bill written by Don excoriating the Melbourne City Council, The State Legislature, or the food distributors. Although I am a loud, outgoing person, Don always managed to scare me. So I would smile, make brief eye contact, and then quickly look away for fear of angering this great man My perspective changed a few years ago, when I was with my mother at the local country club and, lo and behold, in walked Don and his wife. My first thought was "Hooray! An everyday hard-working guy had made it." He moved effortlessly among the financial elites with ease. Finally, after 25 years, I summoned up enough courage to approach Don. I shook his hand and introduced myself, telling him how much I admired him and his business model. To my surprise, he was a kind, easy-going person and we chatted for a few moments. For several years afterwards, I would go to his restaurant and find him in the zone - barking orders and yelling as per usual, but now I knew the truth of the man behind the mask. Everything is good here. I have been getting the Challenger Hoagie (named after the Space Shuttle) for years. Nothing has changed - you get the same amount of meat you did 30 years ago. The price has gone up, but it is well worth it - loaded up with ham, turkey, capicola, and all the fixin's. If you are the lone person who has never yet been to Don's, I highly suggest you go. Big Boy says if there were a 6th Star, Don's Hoagies would get it.“

“I have never had a sub from Jimmy John's, no locations near my house. Stopped by at lunchtime, they were very busy - especially the drive thru. I went inside so I could study the menu choices. They have many different sandwich size choices, I always go with a small lunch so I chose the "Lil John" Tuna. It was plenty big, perfect size for me, and good value for today. All ingredients were very good, the bread, tuna and veggies- very fresh taste. Good bread, not like that other Sub place with the weird bread - you know who /;I did not get cheese - they only have Provolone!!! Literally the most tasteless waste of calories cheese there is! (unless ripe and aged of course) at least have Swiss and American please. I had to ask for S&P, they do not put it on the sub. Service was fast but not super friendly, just blah - maybe too busy for that. I would definitely come back and try a different sandwich, Yum!Dietary restrictions: Have sandwiches without bread!Parking: A little limited, especially when the tutoring place is busy.“

“I had a minor issue with my sub today during what I know was a busy lunch situation, and the manager of the store took the time to call me and personally apologize for the issue. He was so kind and said they'd use it as a learning opportunity. You don't see customer service of that level these days anymore. Really amazing!“

“I had just got off MSR I-95 dodging fast driving angry motorists…I had not eaten for several days, and made it into this Subway sandwich shop. I got in and fell out…Well the guys there hooked me right up, in fact they saved my life. Elevated my feet, took my boots off, loosened my belt and started an I.V., feeding me delicious subway sandwiches intravenously until I was revived! Thank you, boys! This is one Paratrooper thats recharged and ready for the ultimate contact sport, life!“

“(11/2/2023) I came by to get a really quick lunch between meetings at the Posey Center less than 1 mile away. It was easy to get to and there was no line when I got there. It seemed a little like overkill, but there were like 5 employees waiting on me. Some must have been in training. I got the #13 Original Italian. The deli meats were indeed sliced in front of me (as the commercials say). I got it "Mike's Way" with hots, there was a lot of dramatic splashing of red wine vinegar and olive oil all over the sandwich. The sandwich transported pretty well, but get it to where you're going fast, because it's pretty "wet" with oil and vinegar (soaking through the bag). It was pretty tasty, and an I ate a whole original. I'd do it all over again.“

“Very surprised here for this place to be nice again... For so long they were awful... Service was worse the the Burger King down the road... BUT now... They are really good... lots of different workers but they all do a good job now. Super friendly too... So far this is an amazing Subway... Glad to see them back...“

“I would like to thank everyone at the Cocoa Beach location for their great service on a very large pick up order I placed Fri, 8-4-23. This was for a business meeting. Sean was very helpful when I had to call last minute and add more to the online order. Sean was very professional and got everything right. But I would like to acknowledge everyone at this location including management. Thank you so much.“

“Nice sized sandwiches, generous with ingredients, made to order. Friendly staff. Quick service. Turkey & Swiss on wheat wrap “expertly” prepared — wrap didn’t come apart while eating sandwich. Italian on wheat roll with just the right amount of oil & vinegar so that bread was not soggy. Limited parking. Located in a busy strip mall.“

“After working hard out in the hot sun, eating a nice hot melty sub in the cool air conditioning with a huge drink was super refreshing and the employees were super welcoming, came around to ask if everything was good with our order. I would definitely go there again.“

“We were in Cocoa Beach for just one night as we live in Orlando, but wanted a quick sandwich so as per usual we go to Jersey Mike’s. My husband said he went in and we always get even the big kahuna or the club. When he came back to the hotel with an Italian, I was shocked because he never strays outside of the same sandwich. He said he’s had the best service he’s ever received in a Jersey Mike’s. Normally it’s pretty good but Nick made it an outstanding experience that was review worthy. He was very easy to talk to asked good questions and engaged and good conversation while he was helping my husband. My husband indicated that you normally don’t get all that service, but Nick was adamant about telling him that it’s important to treat customers Better than ordinary so that they come back and it makes the job that much more pleasant to go to every day. I still prefer Big Khauna but it was a great Sub! Thanks for making his night!“

“The staff was very friendly and kind. The atmosphere is a little boring but that's okay. The food was surprisingly really delicious. The prices are decent also. Very clean establishment. I enjoyed myself and my kids enjoyed their meals.“
