My husband orders the pad kee mao and eats the whole dish every time, which their servings are rather large! I just get the chicken fried rice and it is delicious! “We first saw this local restaurant around July of 2023 when preparing for a wedding. next to this restaurant and I think they have just opened not long ago. It was afternoon and when we entered , a young nice gentleman greets us and told us tho sit at any table we prefer. We looked at the menu and I ordered the a salad with shrimp and rice . The sauce tastes so good but very spicy and I didn’t mind the spiciness . We have been going there ever since and we sat at the same table from day one and they know exactly what food we like . The spice level was perfect. The flavor was packed into every bite with balance and uniqueness. The egg rolls has the perfect crunch, and the steamed dumplings made me believe in love again. The pad Thai (star of the show) had eggs cooked perfectly and served in my preferred way. I can’t complement this establishment enough. It is everything. “The first time I went to this restaurant was a random choice, being in the area and starving at 8.30pm. My friend and I endured a long 30+min wait to be seated. Everyone who gets "hangry" know what I'm talking about.? But man, was this worth every minute of that wait..the food was absolutely delicious, the stuff was very kind and patient even being at the end of a clearly exhausting busy day. The decor is absolutely lovely too? I have tried several dishes from their menu, always starting with lettuce wraps and always ending with mango sticky rice ? and this place always delivers! I have driven across the whole town from Tampa Palms to get my Thai food fix several times since! “Located in DT St. Pete. We found street parking and walked here. It's open air and it was a delightful day given the weather. We picked out our table and the staff walked the menus right over. I ordered the strawberry refresher and the spring rolls along with curry fried rice. Spring rolls were out in no time and absolutely delicious!! Loved my refresher too. Now don't even get me started on how delicious the fried rice was. Wow the curry flavor to it was just stand out and amazing! I have been to many Thai restaurants that are average at best and while I can dress it up, it just makes me miss my old place more. This restaurant is family owned and operated. Some of the best restaurants I have been to have been family owned. When I saw this place and pictures of the food the grilled squid caught my eye and I was excited to try it. When we got there we ordered the grilled squid and chicken pad thai. The squid was amazing and my wife couldn't get enough of the dipping sauce. When we got the pad thai it reminded me of my old place but this one may have been a little better. The service was great and attentive, I believe our server was the daughter. The Orchid was 75% busy, and we managed to get a table. It seemed many regulars were here. Atmosphere is much to be desired, but the Quality of the Food, is not bad at all. We had the soup with Chicken, mushrooms, coconut milk, ginger, enjoyed it to the last drop! And then we had the Crispy Duck, which was perfectly done. And Sake for two, served hot! My boyfriend and I went here last night and ordered a few different rolls to try. One of them that we ordered was called The Monkees ?? roll and it was the best sushi roll I have had in a long time. The roll is filled with tempura banana, cream cheese, and topped with bbq eel. The sweet and savory combination of the flavors paired extremely well together and was my boyfriends favorite. They have a wide variety of sushi and Thai dishes to try. I really like that you have the option to order all of the different sushi rolls as a whole roll, half roll, or cone/hand roll. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious sushi in the St.Pete area.“
“I used to come to this sushi restaurant often many years ago, but I'm sad to say I haven't been here in a hot minute with all the new sushi places opening :(. Thankfully, my niece was craving sushi and picked Ichiban so I was excited to try them out after all these years. They are currently only open for take out. We placed our order in by phone and picked up shortly after. Updated menu is online. We ordered the SHRIMP VOLCANO, GATOR ROLL, and TUNA TORNADO. My niece is normally a volcano lover, but this time she fell in love with the GATOR ROLL. It was saucy and generously covered with krab sticks. We will definitely be ordering that roll again. The other rolls were also good -- rolled tightly and just the right amount of rice. I also ordered tuna nigiri and was happy that it was good quality and fresh tasting. Will have to order again to try out some of their newer rolls. Definitely recommend trying them out.“

The bowl was brimming with veggies and chicken in a wonderful coconut milk base (geez I am salivating just writing this, lol!) The soup that I normally get is weak and sparse, so imagine my delight to find a place that was so generous in their servings?!!! My entree was huge! I ordered the rice dish with chicken and asked them to add basil. PURE HEAVEN! In a time where business owners are cutting corners and raising prices to make a profit, I was very surprised at the portions we received! Normally what I would get would be adequate, but at Thai Bay our eyes were def. bigger than our bellies. We ate so much that it was difficult to sleep that night. Yeah, we overdid it. Also, something to consider...I was asked how spicy I wanted my food. Normally I get it spicy. She suggested medium but provided a condiment tray with different methods to add to my love of spice. Medium was it! I didn't need to add more. Everything was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to go back.“

“Visiting Tampa from out of state and drove 20 minutes out of our way because we heard there was a great Thai restaurant known for their curry puff appetizer and noodle soups. Growing up in an Asian family, I LOVE brothy soups. We were not disappointed. I had the tom yum and my husband got their special tew nom tok. Both were very good. The curry puff was delicious and I recommend getting that as an appetizer. I will definitely stop ny again the next time we are in the area.“
