“When the restaurant opens, we are there to eat, we are hungry!While our curry was being prepared, the lady brought us each a soup and a spring roll which were excellent. We brought back our delicious curry as it was a large portion! I highly recommend it!“
“Staying in Tampa nearby, decided to get Thai food. Everything was prepared quick and the portion sizes were very generous. Prices are pretty good for the size too.First off, Pad Thai had a lot of flavor with the tamarind tanginess and sweetness shining through. Loved the Crab Fried Rice. It was spicy but not overpowering and the crab itself was definitely real. Helpful guest experience and from someone that is part Thai the ambience and food when I went in the evening made me feel kinda like being back home.“

“Second time at Thai 5. Can not believe this place was here all this time tucked back in this strip mall. Beautiful, sparkly, ambiance and atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Large outdoor patio. Best Crab Rangoon in the area. We enjoyed the spicy salmon roll. Beautiful presentation on all the dishes. Very flavorful and thick sauce on the garlic black pepper chicken and pepper steak. “Visiting Tampa from out of state and drove 20 minutes out of our way because we heard there was a great Thai restaurant known for their curry puff appetizer and noodle soups. Growing up in an Asian family, I LOVE brothy soups. We were not disappointed. I had the tom yum and my husband got their special tew nom tok. Both were very good. The curry puff was delicious and I recommend getting that as an appetizer. I will definitely stop ny again the next time we are in the area.“
“Absolute hidden gem! Have eaten here several times and everything is just amazing. Staff is friendly, food comes out hot and fresh and prices are reasonable. My husband orders the pad kee mao and eats the whole dish every time, which their servings are rather large! I just get the chicken fried rice and it is delicious! All the apps we have had are tasty as well! 10/10 recommend!!“

“I was here on a quiet afternoon and I ordered a dish that is served cold with rice noodles, chicken, bean sprouts, pickled carrots and radish, some cabbage, cilantro, lime...it was delicious! I loved the atmosphere and servers were very courteous and attentive.“

Only one or two people work the entire front end of the restaurant but you won't know it because they are fast, efficient and too kind. I love this restaurant for dine in and take out.Just watch out for some of the patrons we've experienced some very prejudice patrons who didn't even want my Son and I to sit next to their table and this has happened several times.“
“I live close by so it is easy to pop in and pick up some take-out. Prices are reasonable and the food and sushi are good. If you like papaya salad It's not on the menu so you have to ask for it. “Brought a friend here for vacation and he is willing to come back just for the food. Yum seafood was fresh with bold flavors and the panang crispy duck was phenomenal. Alot of Thai restaurants in st.pete but places like Sawatdee are authentic, and its more than money when it comes to the food they serve.“
“We had the panang curry and the pad Thai. Very delicious. Pad Thai was perfectly slimy and sticky. Panang curry had veggies and was also very yummy. The lady did not ask us how hot we wanted it, I thought it was perfect. My husband complained a little.. he likes to sweat when he eats Thai food.“
“Great authentic Thai food. Definitely get the mango sticky rice desert. You can get the spiciness in different levels from mild to wild. The service is a bit slower as it is a small family restaurant. But the service is great and they tend to customers very well. They have outside seating for you to enjoy the hot nights in Florida. “Great Thai food and has lots of delicious options!! This place can get kinda busy sometimes, but it's great! Some dishes can be on the spicier side, so just keep that in mind. I love spicy, and medium spice was hot but still delicious without taking away from the rest of the dish.“
“I have been going here for years. The store was sold recently and as far as I can tell, the new owner hasn't changed a thing. The previous owner was super sweet. And the new owner is also very nice! I love their curry, pad Thai, and krab Rangoon. I saw that they are also starting up a lunch buffet, so I'll have to try that as well. Highly recommend“
“I come here whenever I want sushi ? in St.Pete. Their sliced octopus salad ? ? is absolutely delicious. The kimchee dressing they top it with is my favorite. They also put their own kimchee sauce on their spicy tuna roll along with sriracha. That and the quality of the tuna in it is what makes it the best spicy tuna roll that I have had from anywhere. My boyfriend and I went here last night and ordered a few different rolls to try. One of them that we ordered was called The Monkees ?? roll and it was the best sushi roll I have had in a long time. The roll is filled with tempura banana, cream cheese, and topped with bbq eel. The sweet and savory combination of the flavors paired extremely well together and was my boyfriends favorite. They have a wide variety of sushi and Thai dishes to try. I really like that you have the option to order all of the different sushi rolls as a whole roll, half roll, or cone/hand roll. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious sushi in the St.Pete area.“
“Their food is amazing and their staff are excellent! We had a party of 5 and they gave us an extra spring roll because there were only 4. Not only did they do that but they accidentally gave us an extra plate of fried tofu and decided to let us keep it as well as take it off our bill!“

“I used to come to this sushi restaurant often many years ago, but I'm sad to say I haven't been here in a hot minute with all the new sushi places opening :(. Thankfully, my niece was craving sushi and picked Ichiban so I was excited to try them out after all these years. They are currently only open for take out. We placed our order in by phone and picked up shortly after. Updated menu is online. We ordered the SHRIMP VOLCANO, GATOR ROLL, and TUNA TORNADO. My niece is normally a volcano lover, but this time she fell in love with the GATOR ROLL. It was saucy and generously covered with krab sticks. We will definitely be ordering that roll again. The other rolls were also good -- rolled tightly and just the right amount of rice. I also ordered tuna nigiri and was happy that it was good quality and fresh tasting. Will have to order again to try out some of their newer rolls. Definitely recommend trying them out.“
