“I met up with a few friends at this local Chinese restaurant for lunch, and it was a great spot to catch up over some really good food. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere with plenty of seating, and even though it was busy around lunchtime, we were seated quickly. The staff greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome throughout the entire visit.

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including orange chicken, chow mein, pan-fried dumplings, and chicken wings. The orange chicken was crispy on the outside and coated in a flavorful sauce that had the perfect balance of sweetness and citrus. The chow mein was cooked just right with tender noodles, fresh vegetables, and a savory seasoning that paired well with everything else on the table. The pan-fried dumplings had a perfectly crisp bottom with a juicy, well-seasoned filling, making them one of everyone's favorites. The chicken wings were hot, crispy, and packed with flavor, making them a great addition to the meal.

The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure our drinks stayed filled while checking in without interrupting our conversation. “Try it out for the first time as it was lunch time and saw few people going in. I ask for the Szechuan beef and chicken in garlic sauce . Both entrees were delicious and the gentleman taking the order was very attentive . Like to see the open kitchen and seeing the cooks while preparing my order . Will definitely be back .“

As New Yorkers, we know our Chinese takeout, and it's hard to find a better place down here. Not sure if it's under new ownership since these older reviews- but we think May Wah is fantastic.“

“Best Chinese food in the area since I left NYC. Fried dumplings 10 out of 10. Crispy and very fresh. The Mongolian beef, excellent. Shrimp and broccoli was perfect. Big shrimp broccoli had a nice snap to it and the sauce was delicious. So I will definitely give Star River a 5 plus.“

“Ordered from here for the first time yesterday (very picky about where I get my chinese from) I had a few friends tell me this place was good and consistant. I ordered my food online for pickup, it was ready and still super hot when I got there. The lady at the counter was very nice. I got a seasame chicken dinner and a general tso dinner, both came with fried rice, broccoli and a egg roll. The chicken in both meals were very nice flavorful and crunchy the way we like (got well done). The rice was good as well. It was a tad bit dry so I just added some duck sauce, still good. The egg rolls were super good and super crunchy on the outside. We also got crab rangoons those were nice and crunchy as well. Good flavor on the inside. Everything was super good and still had enough left over to eat for dinner. 10/10 will be back for sure.“

“I’m gonna call it one man Wednesday. I walked in this lady placed a large order and I’m thinking oh boy I’m gonna get stuck like Chuck so I asked him how long would it be to make a lunch special? He’s like which one I said bourbon chicken he said give me five. He got me my fried rice. He cooked my bourbon, chicken and egg drop soup literally in five minutes was handing me my bag and you’re good to go. I don’t live in this area. I’m just up here working but I’m impressed.“

“Great food. The only place around Jupiter I'll order hot and sour soup and their egg drop (they call me the "soup guy) . Ribs are also tasty. Very friendly, as the owner recently gave me a panda bear key ring. My wife's heart melted. I've been working my way through their menu trying different things. I've recently discovered their szechuan beef and it's my new favorite. Meat is always tender and veggies fresh in every dish, so I don't understand the negative reviews (oh, yeah - New York transplants). The owner is awesome. I always order online and specify "NO BROCCOLI" and I have never had an issue. You'll probably see me there one day because I order at least once a week. And You can't beat those prices.“

Coming from Chicago, I have had a hard time finding a Chinese restaurant here that I can say I actually like. Until now!!!! I was referred to them from a friend last month and have ordered 4 times already! I generally get the beef mei fun and it comes with rice noodles. Plenty of meat and lots of veggies in it. Egg rolls are fat and nice and crispy with lots of flavor. Their name is exactly what will come out of your mouth after the first bite!!!!

“I always get good fresh food from this location. As a Miami native it has been a real struggle to find good Chinese food in palm beach. They are always easy to order from even if it’s from the kids helping out in the front. My go to for boneless spare ribs and fried rice. Also love their house duck sauce.“

The sauce isn't runny like a lot of other places. Other sauces I've had tasted like hot kool-aid. This is many times better. I also love the fried rice and white rice.“

“The only thing I disagree with is that they charge for everything! Beans sprouts in your fried rice $1 extra, vegetables in your fried rice $1 extra, extra onions in your fried rice $1 extra, egg added to any fried rice $1 extra. Keep in mind the are adding maybe a tablespoon of any of the extra stuff you want. That does not cost $1 per item. Vegetables and onions should be standard snd and an extra cost. So although the food is good your paying extra for the added stuff to make it better. If I did add the veggies, onions and bean sprouts, I would just have rice with a protein.“

Their pan fried dumplings are outstanding, their hot garlic chicken, beef with broccoli, happy family, all delicious! Even their homemade duck sauce is great! Complete hole-in-the wall. Don’t judge it for its atmosphere - that’s not what matters. Judge it for its food! It’s excellent! And their team is super friendly and they actually pay attention to the notes and requests you make when you order. Food is cooked promptly and quick! Fresh vegetables and lots of protein in all the dishes. I could go on and on.. try it!!“

I am not a connoisseur of Chinese food, don't ask for a strange dish only found in a small village in northern China, and I don't use chop sticks when I eat Chinese food. But I am accustomed to standard Chinese takeout and I do think this place is a notch or two above the others. Flavors are rich, food is freshly made (and you taste it) and very good portions. Got the lunch special and there aren't many places to get lunch for $10 (soup, main dish and fried rice) it is delicious plus you will probably have left over. It is a simple hole-in-the-wall operation but if you enjoy Chinese takeout, I do not think you can go wrong. Give it a try.“
