“Social Hour (4-6) at Fleming’s in Grand Boulevard, is a wonderful place to go if you’re looking for a place to meet friend for cocktails and delicious appetizers (Bite’s). We recently met friends for a birthday celebration and had an excellent experience. We were greeted by Laura Mason, the manager, and were seated at a comfortable table, perfect for visiting. Tara, our server, was cheerful and very attentive. The staff did an excellent job making our experience very positive. We will definitely be back!“

We were seated out on the back porch right in front of the gulf and had a wonderful breeze blowing the whole time, which was great since we were visiting Florida in August. We got seafood and steak. “We came in town for a junior golf tournament & made our way to Crab Trap. The sunset was amazing and our server Thayne was excellent. He took the time to put on a pair of gloves and show our son how to crack some crabs and get all the meat out of the 3 pound steamer. Great memories“

“We stumbled upon this place while going somewhere else, and I am so glad we did. We had- steak, scallops, shrimp and grits, fried shrimp, and blackened shrimp. When I tell you this is the best all around restaurant we have tried while on vacation I am not kidding. The quality and portion size for the price point cannot be beat. Everything we had was perfect. Service was excellent and we ate in less than an hour. 10/10 recommended and we will be back every time we visit.“

“We went here last night 6.19.25 & Paris was our waitress and she went above and beyond. This place was packed from the moment it opened, we were her first night table of 12& she instantly had a bigger table of 15 and she handled both with grace and the most professionalism! We will 100% be back because of the food and Paris! Also, the food was so amazing. Great portion sizes! Outside there is a pool full of alligators that you can look at while you wait!“

“My wife and I ate there last night. Kind of expected it to just be a bar with “bar food”, was so wrong! We had a dozen fresh oysters, I actually had a few of them and I usually hate seafood! Super yummy! I had the chicken dinner, sauce and chicken was really good, so were the cheese grits. My wife had the catch of the day, happened to be Flounder, one of her favorites. The portion that came out was HUGE and she said really yummy, too! Tons of beers on tap and some funny t-shirts for sale too. Great place, may go again tonight!“

Small and humble deco , felt like home The food was super , tasted mullet and gator tail , fried squash , baked beans . Everything was hot excellent taste . “Highlight of our trip! Chef Patrick catered an in home dinner for our family celebrating my parents’ 50th in June 2023 at the house we rented for the week. He worked with me on the menu, accommodating varying adult preferences and making sure our ages 9-15 kids were well fed too. We had so much fun watching him cook and talking that we never actually went to the dining room and instead chose to sit around the kitchen counter. The food was amazing, beautifully presented, and he made sure the kitchen was spotless before he left. Although it was a bit of a splurge, it was worth every penny and we would have Patrick back in a heartbeat!“

“We had beyond amazing experience at the emerald coast location. We sat outside with our two little kids. Our server walked out (Chante) and right away started to engage with the kids and made them smile and feel so welcome. “We just got back from a week stay down by Crystal Beach. We were within walking distance and visited Camille‘s several times, both the daytime Café and nighttime restaurant. What a great find. The sushi was amazing, all the drinks were delicious. We loved chatting with Holly the bartender. She was wonderful. This is definitely a must try if you were in the area.“

“Our first time there! Food was delicious, the Gumbo was the best we have ever had. Our server Silvia was very sweet and provided excellent service. The only detraction was a server from the bar area walked thru the dining area multiple times carrying on a loud almost yelling conversation with someone who was still in the bar area. For a quiet afternoon with only 7 other diners this was annoying and totally not necessary. But regardless, we will return.“

“We have been to Bijoux over the last few years and each time has been truly amazing! The food has never disappointed and the service is wonderful (we really like Lisa as our server). The wine selection is not huge but does have very nice options for any occasion. Great appetizers (Crab Beignets are a favorite) and their Filet Mignon is the best we have found in South Walton. Last evening my wife and I split the 20oz Cowboy Ribeye (med. rare +) and it was so good! They also make their own desserts and we usually get the Cheesecake (last night’s was Orange Marscapone) and a couple of scoops of sorbet(so good!). Can’t wait to go back again.“

It is consistent, reliable and always there. We’ve been attending the MS Bar convention for approximately 20 years, and have eaten at Barefoots for almost as long.

Whether it’s lunch, snacks or dinner, Barefoots has something that you can order.

While the menu is not big it has the seafood standbys, the chicken tenders, burgers, dogs, and fries- so the whole family can eat.

The drinks are good and plentiful. The fried baskets are good. The tuna dip is surpassingly good.

Peal and eat shrimp are above average. The burgers and hotdogs hit just right when you need a break from seafood.

Is it expensive? Yes, but it’s right there. You walk. You wear a bathing suit. They bring you your food to the table, the cabana or the beach!

“A catch up dinner with friends we have not seen in months. We wanted somewhere quiet so we could talk without shouting. Even when Bijoux is busy the noise level is low. In the low season down here, especially with the cold snap, it was a perfect venue.“

“We just checked out from an eight night stay and overall we were very disappointed in our experience this week. We visited the henderson once or twice a year since our children were toddlers. Beyond financial support, we have been the most vocal champions of the resort for years. Not only have we consistently provided good reviews online, we have also brought siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins to the Henderson. We wear the merchandise from the resort store year round. So when we booked this trip, we were excited as always. We paid for the premium gulf view room just as we did last trip, and were instantly disappointed with our room view. We did not have the pool/gulf straight on view like we did last time and is advertised on the website. Instead, we had a view of trees and only a partial gulf on the side. This is an unacceptable view when paying for the premium option. We called the front desk twice and kindly asked to be moved, or even notified if one of the better views opens up throughout the week. However, we were instantly shut down both times, being told there is absolutely nothing they can or are willing to do for us. So although we paid for the premium view for eight nights, we were never once able to enjoy it. We would have simply preferred courtyard view over what we had and saved the money. The way our concerns were brushed aside after being loyal customers for many years has made us question if we will ever return. Before posting this review I tried contacting management twice while at the resort and another five times since we checked out, having been ignored the entire time. On top of the room view, there were a lot of other concerning issues that we have never experienced at the Henderson. Our room was very beat up and in need of repair. The walls needed painted and the furniture needed replaced. The lights in the bathroom constantly flashed like strobe lights and everything in general felt unclean. There were leaks in the lobby, tiles missing in the pool, the showers by the beach were half broken, and the bathrooms by the beach were closed for an entire day. So we had to walk all the way back to the resort to use the restroom. The overall level of the service we experienced on this trip was not the exceptional customer service we have become accustomed to at the Henderson. No one helped us with our luggage, bar tenders at the beach weren't friendly, and overall we felt more like a number instead of a valued guest (which is what we always loved about the resort). There seems to be more focus and attention given to the condo selling expansion than the resort guests. There was also constant non stop construction noise for our entire trip - which we were not warned about upon booking. When you're charging these kind of prices, there are expectations that follow. One of my favorite things in the past has been the cheese quesadilla at the pool. Even that was a shell of its former self, with barely any cheese. I actually have a photo of the way it used to be compared to now. And I paid a premium for that just like everything else at the hotel. At one point I paid $22 for two popsicles at the pool. Again, these prices are acceptable when the overall experience matches like it has in the past. But that simply wasn't the case this week. As much as it pains me to say, my wife has been looking for different options for our next trip to Florida Lastly I would conclude that the overall care level from the resort staff was nowhere close to how it used to be. We went to a water balloon toss event that was a total joke. The staff had about 10 water balloons and zero plan. It lasted about 30 seconds. That was a good representation of the whole trip. Nobody cared about our room complaint, nobody cared to fix the maintenance issues, and the sense was that selling and expanding condos is the main focus now. We are going to have to take time as family and consider if the Henderson is going to continue to be a staple for our summer vacations.“
