The Clam Shack

We decided to stop in and give it a try. We were happily surprised with the service and the food. We had the fried clams and the fish and chips. Both were very good and the portions were actually very generous. They have lots of lobster dishes as well. We will go back for sure.

I have to begin this review by saying that I will not be able to say enough about this quaint little restaurant that serves authentic New England seafood. First and foremost, I am from New England originally and now live in New York, so when I saw this place advertised it piqued my interest and I thought "hmm, let's see". Food here is spectacular! Tried the lobster roll (it was good, but I enjoyed the other menu items even more) with homemade onion rings (wow!) My hubby had the combination plate with fried shrimp & fried oysters and that was AMAZING! BEST FRIED SHRIMP & OYSTERS in SWFL. The batter is so good, not greasy with the perfect flavor and crunch.
