We decided to stop in and give it a try. We were happily surprised with the service and the food. We had the fried clams and the fish and chips. Both were very good and the portions were actually very generous. They have lots of lobster dishes as well. We will go back for sure.

Husband had clam chowder and fried clams. He said they had very little flavor. Not very enjoyable. I had the shrimp salad. It was basic and ok. We were hoping that it would have been better!

Food here is spectacular! Tried the lobster roll (it was good, but I enjoyed the other menu items even more) with homemade onion rings (wow!) My hubby had the combination plate with fried shrimp & fried oysters and that was AMAZING! BEST FRIED SHRIMP & OYSTERS in SWFL. The batter is so good, not greasy with the perfect flavor and crunch. Perfectly fried seafood. The coleslaw was incredible as well. They also bring out several delicious sauces. Really recommend this place for lunch or dinner. It’s a much more relaxed/ casual vibe inside. The service was great as well : )

We read the prior reviews and went with the lobster roll, clam chowder and fried clams. They were all pretty decent, but I wouldn't say top notch sea food. The lobster roll was plentiful, for sure, but lacked a little in the flavor department. The fried clams were also a large portion and they were tasty. I have had better clam chowder, but it was still good. Overall a satisfying meal. It is casual seafood dining in a casual environment.
What a great little place. The oysters were plump and cooked well; the clams were also cooked to perfection. Onion rings were large and meaty! Lobster bisque was loaded with lobster flavor and chunks of lobster meat! The service was impeccable! I would highly recommend this small restaurant to anyone visiting the area

Pretty good food. Didn't have to wait to be seated. Seemed like there was only one guy working. The clam chowder and the lobster roll with onion rings we're delicious, shining stars of the menu. The fisherman's plate offered a lot of options. Disappointed the kids menu didn't have a clam strip option. The chocolate pie dessert was alright but not exciting.

We always make sure to visit The Clam Shack while vacations in swfl. Always great service and the vibe is here is casual. The food here is served promptly and always delicious. From the calamari to the clams everything is great!
