Tonight was our first and last time eating here. Everyone except for the man who brought out our food was rude. The waitress took our drink and food order and never came back. My husband had to go get me another drink from the bar and I had to wave her down so my kids had drinks. My husbands dinner came out 20 minutes before anyone else’s, my food was cold, and 4 of the 12 clam shells didn’t have clams in them. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. In the last few years we had noticed subtle changes in the service and food, but last night we had the worst experience ever. From start to finish it was horrible. The two hostesses were incredibly rude and sat multiple other parties before ours despite our entire party being there first. Let me tell y’all about this garbage experience at Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar in Sarasota, Florida. We ordered the so-called “Famous King Seafood Platter” for $120 — and babyyyy it was the NASTIEST seafood I have ever had in my life. The lobster? RUBBERY and overcooked like it was boiled last week.
