50 Best Vegan Restaurants near Satellite Beach

“Banana River Cafe, 1301 S. Patrick Dr., Satellite Beach, FL 32937 5 Stars I swore four years ago I would never go back, yet here I am like fish from yesterfang in the parking lot of a restaurant that at one time (under previous ownership) was my number one breakfast place in Brevard County. After it was sold, it was turned into a joint that wallowed in bad food and even worse service. As I said, that was four years ago. I have since deleted that review. Now, I can say that it is safe to return to the water, but I get ahead of myself. What changed? The new owner/chef is a CIA graduate who did his externship at Michelin Star restaurant Gramercy Tavern in New York City. Emerson Krause turned down a position at the famed restaurant upon graduation to return home and bring Brevard a taste of things seldom sampled in this part of the Sunshine State. I can safely speak for all of my fellow Floridians on the Space Coast when I say, "Thank you, Emerson and welcome home!" After being seated at a delightfully decorated table (I love the paint scheme on the chairs), we were approached by a charming lady named Nicole. Nicole was outstanding in every way a service professional should be. I asked Nicole for an order of the Bacon Sea Salt French Toast, one Texan Potato Stack and a San Antonio Biscuit Bennie. Snapping a few quick pics of the warm environs, I sat back, soaked in the peaceable atmosphere and awaited Nicole's return. The aromas were enticing to such a degree; it was all I could do to take some pictures before digging into the edible artwork before me. First to saunter across my palate was a taste of the Bacon Sea Salt French Toast. One taste and I was deep in Hog Heaven. That bacon! While I love "meat candy" more than almost any other animal flesh, that is not what set this order of the tried and true breakfast staple of French Toast apart. It was the bread and execution. This bread was fresh, thick and griddled to a delightful golden brown. The outside had just the right amount of crunch, while the inside was airy, fresh and wonderfully warm. I could eat this every day and never tire of it. Heaving a sad sigh of regret, I moved on to the next dish to be sampled, the Texan Potato Stack. Every Potato Stack is served with eggs over easy on herb roasted potatoes and topped with jack cheddar cheese sauce with your choice of toast or biscuit. The Texan came with added chorizo, onion, peppers, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. One bite and again, I was done. The flavors cascaded down my gullet like so many drops of gastronomical gratification. The last to dance across my taste buds this morning was the San Antonio Biscuit Bennie. I won't bore you with any more details; suffice it to say that this was on par with the rest of the meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavor combinations were unparalleled in a breakfast biscuit (if this still qualifies as such). The Big Boy says, "If it is breakfast or lunchtime, stop what you are doing and go there right now."“

“I'm a regular here but since I live in a neighboring county I don't get here as often as I'd like to. I haven't found a more authentic Greek Restaurant anywhere in Brevard or Indian River County. Food and service is always top notch. I find myself booking appointments around my Niki's visit!“

“My wife absolutely loves this place. Whether you get the insane burrito or one of the famous gringos, you can’t go wrong. This place has been serving up good food for many years. Make sure you get the rice and beans local style, you won’t be disappointed. They have a beautiful outside area to eat, which is covered by shady tiki huts. This place is awesome. “I’ve been here many times, and I really love their sweet and savory waffles. The fruit drinks taste amazing because they use real, fresh fruit. “Sergio's Lake Washington Plaza location catered lunch for our New Home Buyer seminar with Cori Williams, Mortgage Originator, at the Dennis Basile - D. Basile Real Estate office. The Chicken Tinga was so moist and flavorful, definitely my favorite. Fresh made chips served with queso topped off this special lunch. Sergio's staff were kind, professional, and on time. With 3 locations, you can find one that is convenient and get some great food.“

I didn't mind raw spinach, although when I have had spinach in a Benedict, it's usually sautéed. Eggs were poached perfectly and hollandaise was ok. “Al-Houda Restaurant - Palm Bay - 5 Stars Hidden Gem Alert Wow, what a great find! It actually took me 24 hours to think of an opening to this review. Al-Houda is the kind of restaurant that is why I do this day in and day out, looking for that one special place, that one special morsel of food, that single flavor that makes you go....WOW!!!!! Well, it's all here at Al-Houda. Let me further preface that my father's side of the family immigrated from Syria at the turn of the last century, so I spent many years eating a wonderful surprise of authentic Middle Eastern dishes. Most Middle Eastern restaurants have Americanized the region's food, and it's so rare to find authentic recipes that I don't even look anymore. Given this history, it was with great joy and happiness that I found Al-Houda's cuisine. Now all is not perfect in Al-Houda land. For one, it is a very small dining area with limited seating. I also found out later this restaurant mainly caters to the Florida Tech Arab group, so their hours are cut back drastically during the summer. The lady who greets you, who I assume is an owner, has very little grasp of the English language, to put it mildly. If you are willing to try this amazing food you will need to either order what I ordered or be prepared to point. The menu has a half-hearted English explanation of each item. (See the menu photos). The server will not be able to espouse the great wonders that await you. Furthermore, they only serve bottled drinks. I chose an Aryan (pronounced R-yawn) yogurt drink which is essentially Middle Eastern buttermilk. It was quite good and addicting with a sour finish that is actually enjoyable. For the main meal, I ordered lamb kafta with baba ghnouj. The baba was made in-house. There were tiny chunks of eggplant you don't get from the distributor. I do not believe the Kafta was chef-prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients but it was high quality, better than I have found locally otherwise. The crowning dish I consumed was Molokhia, which is a chicken stew with greens. The morsels of chicken are so tender and juicy they should put a whole chicken in it. As I repeatedly tell my readers I am not a chef, but I know enough to tell you about execution and presentation. When it comes to ingredients, if they are non-standard I can't always discern exactly what they are. In this dish, I know there are greens they call jute. Beyond that and the chicken all I can tell you is it is one of the best flavor sensations I have ever experienced - I mean ever. This dish is so flavorful and enjoyable you can't stop eating it. The Big Boy wants you to stop and give Al-Houda a try. Whether you are a Middle Eastern cuisine veteran or virgin, I promise you won't be disappointed“

“The prices are so cheap honestly I can’t believe how cheap they are! Great option for people who are struggling and still want cultural vietnamese food. The waiters serving there were so interesting, something must have made them feel a certain way. The atmosphere was genuinely terrific, crazy cool, with tons of people doing different things, from okay to mindblowing. The food was great (although I was a tad bit disappointed to find black hairs sticking out of my pho, someone needed to give the waiter a brush or a hairwash). I even asked the lady waiter (her name is Tina we go way back to when erica would sleep at her house) what made her get this job and she said the manager and another man waiter. “My wife and I ate at Lellos 2 weeks ago we had pizza it was the best we ever had . We are origanally from white plains NY . This pizza was better than I ever had from NY. I spoke with the the pizza guy he was from Jersey or philly area not sure. His name is Chris he was the funniest , most charismatic gay pizza man I ever met no disrespect. “Amazing Wine Tasting dinner this evening at Luna Food & Wine in Cocoa Beach. The wine pairings were fabulous and spot on. Never would have thought of pairing a Chardonnay with a spicy crevette creole but it was perfect. Outstanding menu, perfect sized portions and wonderful pairings with wines from Midnight Cellars. Waiting for the next wine pairing dinner there. Chef Luca and LeeAnn are such wonderful hosts and make their guest feel like family.“

“I have been here a number of times and it's awesome. Give yourself some time to look over the menu as there are so many different topping choices. I tried the chili and cheese this last trip and it was excellent. The buns are incredibly soft and look like kaiser rolls in the shape of a hot dog bun. The shoestring fries were hot and delicious. Dining is all outdoors so you grab your drink and condiments inside, give them your name and they bring your order out shortly thereafter. The bathroom was spotless, but I may have been the first person in it that day. There are no paper towels to dry your hands with,which is annoying. The only other downer is that you are enticed to tip through the point of sale. I personally find that annoying as I would rather leave cash. If you like hot dogs, make the trip here or to their other location. You will be really glad you did!“
