Perhaps one of the most important things I consider next to taste is if the meal is satisfying, and my lunch did not fill my stomach. I got the larb kai, like a hot salad dish with ground chicken. It certainly did taste good, but I would have liked the portion to be bigger for it to be about $15 after tax. The complimentary soup and egg roll are also a smaller amount/shorter roll than ever before. I don't believe my soup bowl was filled even 1/4 of the way up the sides. Would come back again but it'll be a while. I hope the value evens out, if a little more could be served. “My wife and I went around 5pm without a reservation(my bad). We were told an hour wait but it was more like 30 minutes which was great. It was well worth the short wait. Our meal was perfect and our server (Courtney) was awesome. A storm was coming in and they accommodated everyone quickly. We had lobster bites, Florida grouper, shrimp and salted caramel cheesecake. Everything was perfect.“

“I placed the catering order and I had to pick it up today (Friday the 29th)Because they were not taking any more orders for Saturday that was no problem I decided to that I might as well eat while I was there as I arrived around 10:45 after waiting a while to be seated I fixed my first plate off the breakfast buffet. My waitress was not very friendly the first time around I just figured she was having a bad day, I've had dental work done so I could only eat a one side of my mouth and I also received a business call that I had to take I was slow eating and not even halfway through my meal the waitress set down the check I thought it was odd I didn't say anything, after I tried a couple of the breakfast items I went back and tried a couple more things on the breakfast buffet then I noticed that the lunch buffet was open so I had one piece of chicken a little bit of beef and noodles and about a bite of sauerkraut with two pieces of sausage. I returned to my table and the waitress walk by I asked her for a refill seem to be a bother to her keep in mind I was there Thursday night with my family who was some out of town eight of us and I eat there probably once every other week and I've never had an experience like the one I had today also keep in mind I was there to pick up $115 catering order. When she brought back my soda I gave her my credit card thinking okay she wants to turn the table as she returned I noticed she took off the breakfast buffet and charged me for the lunch buffet I would not have had a problem with this other than she should have said something I saw multiple people eating off both sides I wonder if their waitress that I hope was in a better mood than mine would inform them that they were paying for the lunch buffet not the practice granted it's only $5 but it is a principle of the thing in my book I felt like she thought I was trying to scam or something it made me feel uncomfortable. I was not only disappointed in her doing this but I was disappointed in the service. I do hope that this message gets reviewed and that you guys as a management team come up with a process to inform people that if they take one or two items off the lunch buffet they're getting charged I can afford it what about people who can't?I do have to say I didn't tip her because I felt the service was bad and I also felt that that extra $5 that she put on my bill what's her tip I wasn't trying to be rude or sarcastic but it did make a point. All in all a disappointing way to start my afternoon..I did pop my head into the office and make a very short statement that I was disappointed in her action and got a sides look from one of the people who were sitting at the desk and a small apology from a lady who was standing there..You may think wow why is he making such a big deal out of this the big deal was it was bad service she had an attitude I was very nice to her she should have pointed it out to me she made me feel cheap and she made me feel like I was scamming the restaurant over..I did pick up my catering order and believe it or not I actually had money to pay for it I don't know if she thought that I didn't have any money I'm not sure what she thought but I do know this the policy should be changed she should have said we're now on the lunch buffet and since you had two items on charging you for the lunch buffet..So this $5 difference between the breakfast and lunch buffet has left a terrible taste in my mouth and I will be hesitant to come back for a while.I hope this young lady learns to treat every guest like a welcome guest!Best regards.“

“Small, cozy bar off S Tamiami Trail. We went on a Friday night, and there was a 30-minute wait for regular seating. The bar had open seats so we decided to just order there. I got the stuffed jalapenos, and they came out hot and fresh. Crispy bacon exterior, with a cheesy mozzarella interior. For my main course, I went for the Hawaiian burger, which did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly to temp with two grilled pineapple wheels, LTO, and bbq sauce on the side. Two thumbs up. My wife got the cheese steak and said it was good but not the best. Both of our main dishes were served with crispy steak fries and a pickle spear. I normally dont like thick cut steak fries because they aren't normally cooked with an exterior crisp, but these were. Service was a bit slow but only because of how busy it was. Service bar drink tickets were printed nonstop, and the bartender did a great job managing wait staff drinks while still tending to her bar guests. Overall, good food and service.“

Veggie omelette, was so delicious and full of veggies! The home fried potatoes are seasoned and cooked perfectly. And I got a free up of water and yes I got water, the soda/water machine is in the corner, a little hidden. Then before I left I refilled with water and mixed some soda as a sweeter, just because I love sweets. You will love this place. Also you can order online which is much faster and no stress about rushing to order cause the place can get full. “One day last week the girls finally had a day out shopping. We stopped in the afternoon to check out this bakery and market. After some cookies I asked about bagels and they only had frozen ones left. I brought a half dozen bag of cinnamon raisin bagels home. Just like the cookies and cakes, the bagels are to die for. They are brought in from New York every morning and baked in the store. I knew my fiancé would love it here. We rode our bikes using the legacy trail from Venice, and since Sarasota has wonderful bike lanes, we easily found our way to the bakery. Now to back up to the beginning of our ride, I took a nasty spill in the first mile and just tried to keep my wound clean along the way and continued my ride. When we rolled up to the market, I cleaned it with water again. Before I knew it, a sweet employee came out to ask me if I needed a bandage. We went in to get the first aid and they fixed me up. It was so nice to see humanity at its best. I really want to thank them for their hospitality. We then went to the bakery and enjoyed their fresh Fruit Tarts. Yummy! Planning another trip with our car to be able to shop the market properly. I highly recommend the gourmet food and the bakery but especially the customer service.“

That being said, the people are super nice, the food is cheap and the service is fast. My sandwich was tasty enough that I ate the whole thing and got a $3 glass of wine to top it off. I stopped by around breakfast/brunch time for takeout after taking my daughter to get her ears checked (ear infections oft being the bane of all vacation plans).I ordered the veggie burrito, which had a lot of flavor and a bunch of fresh tasting veggies along with cheese. My wife got the avocado toast, which she remarked had way more avocado than she expected, which is a good sign for the more meager price tag. My children split a simple egg and cheese on toast, which they both enjoyed. Overall, it was good and filling breakfast fair for what could definitely be considered a bargain for the area where it resides.“

The sauce was good,and it's the kind of pizza where the crust is possibly the best part, as opposed to an afterthought. Our server that we ALWAYS ask for, and schedule our visits around because he is so great, Brett, has become like a member of our family.
