“I met the lovely owner of this 'neighborhood bar" at a restaurant last night while visiting the Springs. Vowed to come in to her bar and check it out. Super pleased I did. She calls it "a neighborhood bar without a neighborhood" located on the line between the industrial part of town and an older, challenged area with some tent encampments. Bar with a few tables, lot full of trucks and hard working men of substance. Had "Poor White Trash Patty Melt" (on white bread) and this tasted what Grandma used to make us on the farm back home. Local beer on draft. Sign on door advised your weapon is welcome, but holstered. This is an Old Skool, full on Dive bar with delicious and simple, quality food. Lots of locals during my bar stool visit. Simple, legit, authentic, loud in a good way. Kick back and check this local joint out!!;;“

“It's a nice place. Super servers and the even brought water for our pups. We were there on a Saturday at lunch time. The menu is very limited to breakfasty foods.. I think they were around 10 choices but at lunch time I prefer to have lunch items. I got the egg burger minus the egg. Food was prepared very well. Awesome staff!“

“I brought my girlfriend here to enjoy a nice cocktail. I love everything vintage so this was just my style. The atmosphere was amazing! vintage jazz played and it felt like a speakeasy from the 20's, the cocktails were spot on and creative and authentic! the lavender and rosemary were fresh as were the blueberries and we had the best time. It could be romantic or just a special place for friends and the server was wonderful. The bartender was studious and took his cocktails serious! Plus he was very interesting. He was a rock climber and scholar. A truly adventurous person who enjoyed what he does!“

Diane was the enthusiastic voice on the phone when making reservations for six for the Sunday brunch. She was the delightfully welcoming hostess when the party arrived. George, as other reviews have attested, was flawless: engaging, attentive, approaching his tasks as a performing art...terrific! Freddy Lopez, the manager, took great pride in the staff and offerings from the kitchen. He described changes soon to be made. The name will be something like "Marketplace Kitchen and Bar", an unfortunate image of an older shopper with shopping bags full of groceries sitting nursing a beer at the bar. Food was very good, although NOTHING except the salad dressings had labels. Individuals will allergies would need ask or simply avoid any item which was not entirely identifiable. Indeed a hotel pan of Creole fish could not be identified by two members on the line. It was Mr. Lopez who solved the mystery.“

“On December 10th I ordered a reuban sandwich. The waitress informed me pickles no longer came with the sandwich it was now considerd one of your sides. The reuban came with big chunks of fat and the meat must have been warmed on the grill because they were browned, and the fries were cold. I informed the waitress and a stern looking women came out of the kitchen and asked 'what else was wrong?' and left without another word said. I paid the bill and left. Horrible“

“Jimmy is an absolute gem! My husband and I come to this location for him. Jimmy provides wonderful service including remembering our drink orders and knowing that potato soup is always my go to! Food is always hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. We will see you soon Jimmy!!“
