“We went there for Valentine’s Day dinner and everything was great. Our server, Arial, was very attentive , professional and pleasant. I had Blackened Tuna and my wife had the two lobster tails and everything was prepared perfectly and delicious. We had Calamari as an appetizer and it could have been a larger portion but it was very good.“

“The outdoor bar has plenty of seating but is close to other tables. I enjoyed that because it allowed me to socialize with others easily! The water view is an added bonus. Jersey Frank was the musician, and he played a wide variety of upbeat familiar songs. It was very enjoyable! On both visits, the food was good, but the service was top-notch!“

“I stumbled upon this cozy restaurant one evening, looking for a place that offered both great food and a lively atmosphere, and I was not disappointed. The moment I walked in, the warmth and charm of the place struck me. It felt like stepping into a friend's inviting dining room, complete with the buzz of conversation and laughter. The menu caught my eye with its array of American classics, each with a unique twist that promised a culinary adventure. The live entertainment was the cherry on top. It turned what could have been just another dinner into a truly memorable experience, adding a vibrancy that's hard to find elsewhere. The staff were incredibly welcoming, treating me like an old friend rather than just another customer. My meal was delightful, from the first bite to the last, and the ambiance made me linger longer than I had planned. It was the perfect blend of casual comfort and refined dining, making me eager to return. This place isn't just about eating out; it's about enjoying every moment, surrounded by good vibes and even better company.“

“We've eaten at Square 1 numerous times. One of my favorite restaurants. The menu selection is varied, and prices are reasonable. The last two times we were there, Nicole was our waitress. She's very personable and on the ball. I would ask to sit in her section any time.“

“Fantastic restaurant and food. Shout out to our server LINDA, professional, attentive, pleasant, an asset to Mezza Luna. The food was delicious and we will be back soon with friends. Kristina Lee Elias sang beautifully while we sat at the bar for 1/2 an hour and through out our dinner. I feel she should try out for The Voice or Idol because my family and friends agree that she could win! She sings on Wednesday nights and the desk the rest of the nights, don’t miss out on a delicious dinner and a truly entertaining singer. The rest of the staff was terrific and did their jobs to the highest extent!“

“For our party of 6, this was the first time for only my bride and me. We started with drinks at the bar as we waited for a table. The atmosphere was relaxed and energized. Once seated and having perused the menu, I found multiple items I wanted to try and all at very reasonable prices! Our server, Sky, was a delight and took very good care of us. I ordered some wings for our table and I will admit I have had better but they were uniquely well seasoned and a great starter. For my meal, I opted for the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal that I cannot wait to return. It is not often I come across a meal such as this but this one had the right amount of texture, creaminess, seasonings, and perfectly flavorful grilled shrimp. Great job City Fire!“

Tierra Del Sol Bar & Grill Bar • $$

“Always so noisy (loud) inside. Would have loved to sit outside so we could hear each other, but there were no tables available. I always get the nut & berry salad, but bring my own dressing since they discontinued the greek dressing that was so delicious. The salad is good, but would be better if they chopped the greens (greens are very fresh) as it is difficult to cut in the bowl that is used.“

“Love the decor. The service was great, even with the trainee shadowing the waitress. Neat burger with bacon++ , great wings, good pasta and haddock. I'm going back for wings-they're killer. Oh, did I mention it's at Sawgrass-can eat/drink at outside bar near the stage.“

“Lighthouse's gig is to emulate a New England chowder house. It does a great job of it. Overlooking Lake Sumter, this restaurant specializes in seafood; scallops, shrimp, mollusks, crab, lobster, and fish. This was my second visit, and I had the Fish & Chips lunch special for $6.99. Very tender fish, perfectly crusted, with just enough fries. Some places overdo the fries and you end up leaving the place feeling bloated because you keep picking on them til they're gone. Lighthouse wants you to leave full, not bloated, and they do it well. My only criticism about the dish was the tartar sauce. It's Ken's brand, comes in a single-serve pack that you have to peel the top off. They should make their own.The service was very good, polite, cheerful, with a much better "sense of urgency" than you see in similar restaurants in the area.My first visit was several months ago, and the littleneck steamers were delicious. I wish the prices were lower for their dinner menu; if they raised the lunch specials by $2 per plate, they could probably get away with taking a couple of their regular dinner menu items and reducing the price of them a couple days a week on an alternating basis. Unfortunately, this is typical of The Villages, where good food is priced as if it was gourmet food. Lighthouse is good food. It's not foodie food. I'm glad for that, I like just good old fashioned New England chowder house food, and miss it like crazy down in The Villages. But at these prices, it's going to be only 2-3 times a year treat for anything other than the lunch special fish and chips, rather than the once a month whole-belly clams up north.“
