“We had a wonderful experience at Crave this past Sunday. We were able to have breakfast outside with our pup. Very nice sitting area with parking in the back and a large grassy area. The food we ordered was delicious. I can’t wait to try more from their menu and enjoy some of the many events they provide to their customers. Pups On The Patio is the next event we are excited about. We’ll be there supporting Crave!“

“Stopped by on a drizzly Saturday afternoon. Nearly had the place to ourselves. Small, simple menu. Of course we had to try the clam chowder. Probably the best I've ever had. They definitely earned those award ribbons!
I ordered grilled shrimp and hush puppies and bf had the sampler platter. Blackened. Our shrimps looked exactly the same so I guess mine were blackened too ??‍♀️. It was definitely very fresh however I feel they went a bit heavy on the lemon. Hushpuppies were sooo good.
Considering how empty it was we found the service slow for having so many employees there but they were nice.“

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“This was my first time ordering from there. The food was great, but the delivery driver put our food on the steps and stood in the street taking a picture of the order. With the extra delivery and service charges, I would have expected at least a person to hand me my food. There wasn't even the courtesy of knocking on the door.“

“We’ve always ordered food to go from Totoya but we’ve never ate inside the restaurant until today, and the food, atmosphere and service was all just such an INCREDIBLE experience.

The atmosphere was amazing and we thought it was such a cute place, the playlist/music they had going was some of our favorite songs all playing back to back, and Royce was hands down the best, BEST server in the history of any dining experience I’ve ever had.

Royce was so sweet, warm, welcoming, attentive, such a fun and delightful person to chat with and really made us excited about our food, and just phenomenal customer service in every way possible; we can’t say enough good things about him and he is by far what made our dine in experience exceptional! Next time we dine in we definitely want to see if we can be seated at one of his tables again lol.

We haven’t felt that warmly welcomed at a restaurant in so long and that experience alone will definitely have us dine in vs taking food to go from Totoya.

They’ll give you a hard time if you go in there a lot lol but they’re awesome from the owners all the way down to the lowest person on the totem pole go there get you some breakfast or lunch, you will not be disappointed.“

“Went in a Friday night over the Arts Festival weekend. They were busy, but staff seated us fairly quickly. We ordered a veggie pizza - it came out huge, hot & delicious. The veggies were very fresh, the crust was not too thick or thin & it had the right amount of cheese. Our waitress was friendly & attentive. “While in town visiting for the weekend, we visited Maggie's attic three times. I believe every weekend they have either beer or wine sip n shops on Saturday evening, and in addition to having an immense selection of beer and wine, they have a small bar where you can get a glass of wine and sit on one of their mini couches or love seats and enjoy great conversation. They are dog friendly too!“

“I've lived here for 12 years and had never gone in because the building from the outside looks like a fine dining restaurant, meaning you would get dressed up to go there. My friend took me there because she wanted to get a gyro and said that they had good food and good service. When I walked in I couldn't believe it!!! It was so casual in the setting was like a pizzeria. The service was excellent, the food was excellent! They do sell pizza, specialty sandwiches, spaghetti and other items. “My family stopped in today before we caught a flight home today. My aunt and uncle live in Mount Dora and visit there often. My mom and I were visiting from Saint louis Missouri and was our first time there. I really wanted to give a shout out to your waiter that was working this morning around noon!! He was a superstar running around like crazy today. He was taking orders, seating customers, and cashing out customers. There was only one cook and one busser/dishwasher. Apparently 2 people had called in sick and he was so busy he couldn’t even call for someone to come in to help him. The crew this morning definitely deserves a raise. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names. But they all did a great job.“

“We visit Pisces Rising several times a year and love their food and drink, happy hour is great. They do need to alter their recipe for the Poke Stack.....it's all fresh, but had a huge top layer of wonton and thick bottom layer of rice, making the whole thing really dry. If they just eliminated those items, it would be much better.“

“This morning our family went to IHOP in Apopka FL. and our waitress Candice was awesome. The best waitress we have ever had there. Kind, attentive, smiling, and arranged a happy birthday song w.ice cream for my father in law. He loved it, we were all thankful. We tipped her very well, she deserved it.“

“I recently visited China 8 in Mount Dora with my sister, and once again, they did not disappoint! The restaurant consistently offers a cozy atmosphere coupled with exceptional customer service that makes you feel genuinely taken care of.

We ordered the shrimp fried rice and special fried rice, which were both cooked to perfection. The honey chicken and fried chicken with honey sauce were delightful treats—sweet, crispy, and just the right amount of goodness. We couldn't resist their egg rolls and spring rolls either, which were the perfect starters to our meal.

Although I found a small rock in my rice, it didn't detract from the overall positive experience. Mistakes happen, and it's nothing that would keep me away.

If you're in the area and craving delicious Chinese cuisine with a side of warm hospitality, China 8 is the place to go. We'll definitely be back for more!“
