“This is a fun place to visit where the waiters are rude on purpose. They write you a funny hat with something rude on it. I had the flounder nuggies and my boyfriend had their Ribs and Wings. Keep in mind, we went during the off season during the late afternoon, so probably didn't get the best chef and food quality, but the food was just good here. It wasn't great or spectacular. It was just decent food that met the standards of the dish names. Their wings were chewy, overcooked, and dry. The ribs were overcooked as well and a little tough, but seasoned well and had good sauce on them. The chili cheese fries were yummy, but I'd rather they serve the chili cheese more on the side and make the fries crispier so you can dip in them because the way they came, it made the French fries soggy after sitting in the sauce. My flounder nuggies were decently fried and the sauce they paired with tasted good. Service was excellent. All in all, this was just a decent place to eat, but there are much better places to eat in the area like the Charlie Horse restaurant or the Starlight dinner right across the street. I wouldn't visit this place again over my favorites.“

I also got two different margaritas, The Spicy Pineapple & Jalapeño Strawberry. “My friends and I had so much fun here! We went the Friday night we arrived in Daytona and ended up back there Saturday night. The people there Friday were so nice and taught us the line dances we didn’t know and the dj played every song we requested and was super nice! “Until tonight, yes. However, tonight was a disaster. We started with one (Tyler) waiter, saw him twice, took 30 minutes to get a drink. Which our original waiter did not deliver. He finally came and took our food order. He appeared to be too busy chatting with friends. We finally received or food which was good. We waited for our original waiter so we could order additional drinks. He was a no-show. We never again saw our original server. Good riddance. Cole came by and took our drink order and apologized. He promptly brought us our drinks. I highly recommend Cole, he did an excellent job. Cole is amazing.“

“I've driven past this bar 1000 times and I just stopped in today. $2 drafts! It's hard to find places like this anymore. You can also smoke your cigars or cigarettes if you choose. Bartenders are nice and the local old timers will tell you a good story. If you're looking for. 5 star Ritz this ain't it. It's an actual real bar with good folks with real people. “What a gem! I'm new to the area, but my friend is a local who can often be found at Surf Lounge partaking in interactive gaming, pool tournaments, or simply enjoying a drink after a hard day's work. I've had only a few samples of the food there so I really can't speak on that just yet, however, the few "bites" were great. The staff is friendly, efficient service, and happy to answer my "not from NSB" questions. The patrons are also a friendly bunch. I think Surf Lounge will be a favorite watering hole ...and I recommend all you tourists vacationing in New Smyrna Beach to stop in to Surf Lounge, relax, have a drink, and a bite to eat ... “We had a great time there last night. The food was reasonably priced and was very good. The staff was friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. We sat upstairs in "The Bounty". We will definitely visit the Flagler tavern again the next time we are in New Smyrna Beach“

“I come to CD during the day, the bartenders are super sweet. I have been here with my lady friends as well as male suitors ? Amanda Jean & Allie take good care of me ? one thing is that I wish that the customers would take better care of the pool tables. Crooks Den has quality tables and the felt used to be superb but now there's drink stains and all sorts of debris on the pool tables and because people sit and lean on them, they are no longer level. I'd LOVE to shoot league out of the Crooks Den ? whatever tho.. the reasons I drive from the beachside to the Crooks Den is for Amanda Jean & Allie and the chill daytime vibes ?“
