New American Restaurants near South Pasadena, FL

“I’ve been seeing the gateway subs guys on instagram and realized the Pasadena location was on my way home yesterday. I ordered online. Their website allows you to order and customize your meal very well. It was easy to place and pay for the order online. I swung by on my way home and my order was done 10 min early. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I’m so glad I saw them on IG because it’s in a strip mall and I might not have noticed it otherwise. It’s just on the east side of the Corey Ave bridge so it’s very convenient for people coming or going to the beach. Oh…and the sandwiches were GREAT!“

“I personally wrote mgmt about how amazing Starlite was with and for us for our wedding day just this past Saturday! Initially guided by Teresa and Leslie who were spot on organized and made life easy for us, we were then handed over to Ted for coordinating and to be our personal assistant. Ted was phenomenal!!!!! He cared about every detail along with us. Ted made sure that he was not only in the initial planning stage but lived it with us! Being there on our wedding day, Ted made sure that everything we put down on our itinery was met 100%. Starlite gets 5 stars for providing great services and a great staff. Ted gets 5 starts for getting it done, hands on and again, leading the way all the way through till the end. Stephanie, the DJ, was so awesome!! Easy to work with and so pumped the crowd up. She wanted to make the party rock, which it did! Everyone who flew in from around the country for a weekend in St. Pete for the wedding, are saying it was the best wedding they went to because it was "an experience" on a yacht, tour, great service, great staff, great experience. Our social media clips etc have 1,000s of views because of the presentation and live action onboard. I highly recommend having you event here. We will definitely plan anniversaries etc using Starlite. And Ted, is our friend now! (When I can add video clips soon, I'll update this review with video clips) 5 stars“

“A must-dine when in St Pete! Superb, thoughtfully-created dishes that will delight the most discerning foodies. Great cocktails (try the Goddess if you’re looking for something refreshing, and they have the BEST espresso martini). Favs include the mussels with the grilled bread for dipping, the truly unique Mac & Cheese, and any of the salads. Honestly everything is great.“

“All I can say is wow!Great atmosphere, our server was friendly and attentive, and the FOOD was probably the best I’ve had in St. Pete and Ive lived here 31 years... I got the Ribeye with goat cheese on top and the jumbo shrimp on the side. Steak was cooked perfectly(in butter not seed oils), presentation was beautiful, and the shrimp were delicious!I have been meaning to check this place out since they opened due to the grass fed steaks and I am kicking myself for not going sooner!Possibly the best restaurant in St. Pete or the Tampa Bay Area for carnivores and vegans alike.Incredible!!“

“The food was delish. Only reason for 3 star on atmosphere is we ate inside because I had visitors who did not want to be out in the sun even under cover. I love the deck and sidewalk area and even bar area. We had a handicapped person with a walker, and the handicap entrance from outside was tight. People at 2 different tables by the door had to get up so my guest could get by. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Our waiter was great. Any meal to me with their roast beef is excellent. The waffle potatoes yummy. Fish sandwich great, too. There is a much more fun atmosphere outside, too. I love the music. Wish there were times when we could add space to thar dance floor!Wheelchair accessibility: Not as easy as it should be on the inside. Tight quarters. Hopefully, enjoy the patio outside with no problems. The handicap ramp is located on the east side of the restaurant.“

“Beautiful location and outstanding service / communication. Clean, spacious rooms with everything we needed. Having beach chairs, beach towels, etc available meant less to pack and one more bonus. All made for a relaxing and very special week.“

“The food was excellent. We got the shrimp tacos and buffalo chicken appetizer. Overall cool vibes with good tunes playing in the background. We sat outside and it was a lovely afternoon lunch. We also brought our small kids so it was nice to have a shady spot in their outdoor dining area to spread out a little so us mom's could enjoy a nice lunch and a beverage while the kiddies napped. “We like to sit at the bar, so I can't speak for the whole restaurant experience, but at the bar you have your own bar tender, the drinks are creative and unlike anything you get anywhere else. The food comes out quickly, is picture perfect and delicious. The bar stools are extremely comfortable. Definitely fun to try the flight! “We regularly eat at Clear Sky for both dinner and breakfast. Every single visit, the food is on point and the service is excellent. It’s extremely clean and bright. Their menu is huge - they have something for everyone. Everything is done perfectly. Our young kids love it as well. Definitely a place for a date night or family night. Tonight was the first night we ever had an “issue”. It was our online order- it didn’t make it back to the kitchen. 4 different staff members and the manager immediately jumped on it. Their customer service is top notch.Love having this in Seminole.“

“Ate dinner here for the first time Friday night and everything we ordered was very good. HUGE portions - we got pasta dishes because we saw so many being ordered and they didn’t disappoint. Service was good despite them being busy, we even brought dessert home. We will definitely be back or try the convenient pickup window, there’s so many other things we want to try.“

“Thursdays are for Sauvignon! 1/2 priced Salads and Pastas were why we chose this place but also because we had heard how good the food was. The white Bordeaux was crisp and went really well with the House made pate - really it was the highlight of the whole dinner! It was like butter and the combo of the caramelized onions and pear butter was an incredible flavor of savory/salty/sweet. Caesar salad was light on dressing (perfect) with quality anchovies. Pastas each were good but the Fungi pasta was the winner. No room for dessert, but will try to save some room for it next time“

“Met some friends here and we really enjoyed our meals. Nice location and solid atmosphere along with an impressive menu. Duck confit was very good as were the other dishes my party ordered. Food was served quickly and a variety of the staff filled water, cleaned empty dishes and overall worked as a team. Good vibes.“

“Blind Shark was the closest bar to our Airbnb and did not disappoint. Coming from Wisconsin, we don't have local watering holes you can smoke inside, so that was a huge plus to us! Drink selection was perfect for our simple tastes, and the locals/bartenders were great. Food was amazing also!Their karaoke night, I made sure to sign up. In the process, I made a friend (who is a local) and got her to sing with me for her first time in years! My fiance and I became friends with her and her husband, spending time with them outside of the bar during our stay.The hospitality is bar-none (no pun intended) and I'd be ecstatic to go back in the future. “I typically order curbside pickup after work. I've NEVER had a bad meal from the Palm Harbor location....not one!. The food is always hot, fresh, and perfect. I'd rather order a dish and judge the chef :-)That said, the food deserves a 6 star rating. All ingredients were fresh and packed with flavor. The Kale pesto tomatoes were simply relished, the broccoli slightly crunchy and finger-licking good, the tofu was nicely marinated, - really, everything was tasty, even the creamy (??) ginger sauce - that I tasted with hesitation - was great.If you like flavor do yourself a favor and try their food.“

(The outside corners of the location are open with seating at the windows, facing inside.) We started with $2 off margaritas and delicious corn dip. For dinner, we had veggie nachos and chicken tacos ($4 off for taco Tuesday). We also purchased shirts. Our server/bartender was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The decor included Kansas City Chiefs items; the owner is from Wichita, KS. So it was fun to see something from our area of the U.S.Vegetarian options: A few tasty items were vegetarian, so that sufficed.“

I went back 3 days later and got the exact same burger I had the first time and it has a nice spice to it and their fries are also delicious! Overall 10/10 their customer service and friendliness is absolutely wonderful as well!“

“Pretty Good We went here for Sunday breakfast. The place has pretty typical diner atmosphere. Our server was delightful. The bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was a little higher-priced than other places. We dropped the cheese and had sliced tomatoes for a side which was a $1 upcharge (not noted on the menu). The tomatoes were white and bland. We also had the ham steak & eggs. The ham was very good—better than most other diners. As is often the case, the accompanying toast was practically dripping with butter and left fingers very greasy. I’m officially giving up on grits at mid-Pinellas breakfast places. The grits here were the texture of cream of wheat and devoid of flavor. Roo Roo’s is fine. If I return, it would be for the ham and the friendly server.“

Yes Pipos, Bodega ( I don't always want Pulled Mojo Smoked Pork Shoulder) and Columbia are all Great, but this as been my go to for years and NEVER Disappoints. It is a TRUE AUTHENTIC CUBAN. Plus the Price is Right and the Rice and Beans are also F I R E . AND THAT BREAD!!!
