Man, I love this place! The soul food is amazing! The vibe in the store is always good. Anytime you're in the neighborhood stop by I do.
This gem in the beautiful Fruitland Heights neighborhood has been a mainstay of the community for decades. We're new to the neighborhood so we finally decided to stop in today for supper? (Really it was a super late lunch) around 4pm. The ribs, smoked on-site, were falling off the bone and delicious, accompanied by tasty collard greens and black-eyed peas. The oxtail stew, a first-time try, was meaty and savory, with the large portion providing leftovers for another meal. While the total bill, including two drinks, was $40, the restaurant offers the option to order smaller portions. The porch was a step back in time, with neighborhood old-timers chatting. Overall, Blue Nile provides a welcoming atmosphere and delectable Southern-style cuisine in the Fruitland Heights community.
