“We went for breakfast after a friend’s recommendation that had been here before. The BEST place - great service, food was delivered quickly even with a large breakfast crowd - we had bloody Mary’s with our breakfast so it was a tad pricey but no one left anything on their plates. I enjoyed the story of the restaurant and will definitely be back when I return to the Keys.“

“This place was phenomenal all around. The owner greeted us, management all greeted us, and staff was attentive all around. Lobster pizza and the street corn pizza were phenomenal. I loved the Pina colada key lime pie. It is by far the best key lime I have tried. The view, the chickens, all of it!!“

“I love this place! I came here years ago when my wife told me about frozen key lime pie on a stick. I was hooked after my first bite. My oldest daughter and I used sneak out and get a slice when the young ones went to bed. Then I bought key lime juice and other treats. Recently I discovered key lime bbq sauce from Kermits and it is soooo good on chicken. Plus this store is dog friendly with a bowl of water for thirsty doggos. I have tried all the other pie on a stick flavors and now just stick with regular dark chocolate.

The pricing here might seem on the high side but once you try the food and see the portions you will understand why it’s priced accordingly. “We stayed down the block at a AirBnB so naturally got coffee and breakfast our first morning. It was so delicious we ate breakfast there every morning except for one (we had to leave for the ferry before they opened, so we ate dinner there that night!) All the food was amazing! Well seasoned, fresh, flavorful, and portions were huge! The coffee was perfect, I really loved the cortadito and milk espreso. The staff was friendly and offered recommendations if needed.“

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a fresh fish churrasco bowl with yellow tail snapper that tasted as it had just been caught.paired with farm to table greens. This is a healthy alternative to calorie laden meals. Incorporate a few trips to Date and Thyme in your weekly routine and your belly will smile. Mine gets happy with the Blueberry Bliss smoothie, organic apples (quick snack), espresso, the prepared foods (some make a great meal right on premises). “Fantastic wine and food! The service here was phenomenal and the Godfather charcuterie board is a must! The included bread was some of the best we have had and paired very well with their goat cheese and a touch of honey. Variety of wines are available at fair prices and pours are very generous. Do keep in mind that there was only 1 person taking orders and serving the food, so the wait can be slightly above average. Still, this wine bar was fantastic and we highly recommend visiting if you're in Key West!

Updated on 6/22/25: Stopped by and the ambiance and wine were still as great as last time! Enjoyed the Godfather charcuterie board once again! We did notice that the portion of bread was reduced but the quality and flavor of everything was phenomenal. The Échiré spread that came with the bread was absolutely incredible. “We loved eating at The Cafe!! Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. Being vegan on vacation can sometimes be tricky, but thankfully The Cafe has so many options for every meal. We were only in town for a few days, but we ate at the cafe five times! It was that good and service was always fast and friendly.
