I had the best torta I’ve ever tasted, the bread was perfectly fresh and soft, and every bite was bursting with flavor. It’s hard to find something this authentic back home in Valdosta. I also tried their aguas frescas, and they were incredibly refreshing and flavorful. My 10-year-old daughter ordered tacos and surprised me by eating four! She said they were the best tacos she’s ever had.This place is absolutely worth the drive. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone craving true Mexican flavors!“

“My original post I had a 5 out of 5 stars but I came here December 12 the night of my graduation at FSU to show my family this cool place I’ve been so fond of for the past year. We came in at 11:30 under the assumption that the establishment closed at 1am. The taps were completely closed by midnight and all tabs were closed at this time as well. In the past I have 100% been served after midnight. I’m just confused if the employee wanted to go home early. Also the male employee working said we could purchase to go beers after our tab was closed out. He mentioned they were half off but we could not drink them in the establishments. Was not the welcoming environment that I have had in the past. Basically everyone was almost forced to leave at midnight even though the sign on the door clearly says 1“

After eating a few bites I felt like the roof of my mouth was very scraped up. It felt like I was chewing forever. I added a bit more mayo and vinegar but I don’t want to have to do that. They flagged my order with a gluten allergy. I had gluten free cheesy grits, sausage, scrambled eggs with cheese, gluten-free toast with butter and jelly. The food is basic and was VERY GOOD.
I always appreciate when restaurants have gluten-free options. And support with knowledgeable staff.
I recommend it, and I would definitely eat there again.

“La Tiendita is the real deal—quality, authentic Latin American cuisine for a great price with friendliness and hospitality. This was where my Spanish 2 class chose (unanimously) to go for their off-campus, graduation lunch, and ordered their food in Spanish, loved it all, and had so much fun. I fed the whole class and another educator (13 people—11 of them teenagers/ known for eating a lot, also a couple of vegetarians and gluten intolerant that found menu items they loved too) for around $270 (this amount includes a 20% tip). Dine in or take out, I highly recommend La Tiendita.“

Service was attentive without being intrusive.

The atmosphere was very good. The decor is lively. They have done a wonderful job creating the backdrop to a great experience. The outside seating wasn't open but it was chilly.

I didn't have a drink but the drink menu is extensive and a lot of fun. Between the great decor and gorgeous drinks it is a Instagram posters dream.
