“Some of our food was good, some not so good. The mixed appetizer was not fresh - it appeared to have numerous reheated items. I'll skip that next time. The lamb dish was very greasy and the meat fatty. The flavor was good. Butter chicken flavor was good. The service was very slow and inattentive despite only a few people dining. Overall underwhelmed. Has been better in the past.“

“Brought my daughter to tour FSU and Backwoods was near our hotel. It was amazing!! Everyone loved their meal but the truffle bruschetta won the vote! Will definitely come back when we bring her for orientation.“

“drove to Tallahassee from Valdosta, GA, for a shopping trip, and a good friend recommended El Rey Tacos & Beer. I’m so glad I stopped by! This place instantly transported me back to Mexico. I had the best torta I’ve ever tasted, the bread was perfectly fresh and soft, and every bite was bursting with flavor. It’s hard to find something this authentic back home in Valdosta. I also tried their aguas frescas, and they were incredibly refreshing and flavorful. My 10-year-old daughter ordered tacos and surprised me by eating four! She said they were the best tacos she’s ever had.This place is absolutely worth the drive. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone craving true Mexican flavors!“

“The Blue Tavern is a true gem in the Tallahassee Community. Carrie (owner) and Heather (bartender) are welcoming, caring, inclusive. This place has the best music in town on a consistent basis. Carrie works hard to support the community; it is like home. The "regulars" are genuine folx and the musicians and performers are great, too. Please support and enjoy! Food is great, too. Highly recommend.“

“I always order delivery from them and the food comes fresh and it's right down the street from my job so it's still hot which is awesome. The food is delicious and you get a lot of food for a good price. I always get the four piece thigh and fries with the drink, I can make that last for 2 days and I just add my own extra sides. The coleslaw is always good 😊.“

“omgosh amazing food and service. had the pork duo, braises beef ribs, crab cakes, and bread with herb infused oil. definitely a 10/10 in our books. it's not a quick eating place takes about 1.5-2 hours and price is up there so sharing maybe an option especially with what we had but glad we chose our own meals instead of sharing.“

“Sorry, I really just stopped by last night and pick up my slice of BIRTHDAY PIE !! I have been planning on visiting the restaurant to have my birthday gift, but it’s been a busy last few weeks! I got an email saying my gift was about to expire, so I headed down to my local Village Inn. Unfortunately, it was only 15 minutes until they closed so I decided I’d better just get the pie and go home. I need a little yesterday a little today and I have still a little left over - It is delicious! I told the staff that I’d be back and I can’t wait! Thanks again😊“

“This is my first time being here because my daughter goes to Florida State. She suggested this place and was told about this place from two of her friends. The food here is amazing. I had to tuxedo striped lobster ravioli, and this dish was so delightful. I wish I could take it home and eat it five days a week thank you for this enjoyable experience in every time I come to visit my daughter in Tallahassee. I will be making a stop here.“

“We had the pineapple and steak fajitas. Both dishes had sat in the windows a bit to long, no sizzle on the beef Fajita. The flavors were good, a little on the milder side. Meat was good just not as hot as I like. Chips and salsa were very good. The pineapple fajita is a pretty dish.
Service was attentive without being intrusive.
The atmosphere was very good. The decor is lively. They have done a wonderful job creating the backdrop to a great experience. The outside seating wasn't open but it was chilly.
I didn't have a drink but the drink menu is extensive and a lot of fun. Between the great decor and gorgeous drinks it is a Instagram posters dream.
I will try it again. I will definitely take any younger in the family who love to take pictures there.“

“I tried for the first time and was SO impressed!! This was exactly what I was wanting. The employees were pleasant when ordering and the food was delicious! It tasted very fresh and made with love. I will be going again ASAP! I tried the basil chicken and pad Thai. I loved both! I will try the chicken teriyaki next. A Tallahassee gem!!“
