“Personally, I loved the food from La Paisa. It is an excellent place to eat and has a wide variety of delicious dishes from Colombia. The servers known as Debbie, Belen, and Camila, were professional, kind, and respectful. Overall, I recommend going to La Paisa if you’re looking for authentic Colombian and international food. Even the bakery has authentic Colombian bread and pastries that are delicious for the taste buds as well. La Paisa is the slice of authentic Colombian culture that can be simply found in the traditional Colombian foods here in Fort Lauderdale.“

“OMG this place changed my life, the freshness, the quality, I was astounded that I would find the caliper of food in this quaint little mom and pops, even the service was wonderful. The son was our waiter and he made us feel right at home. Every time I have a chance to visit southern Florida Vita Nostra Bakery will be a stop I make. “what an amazing experience with A&S Deli Catering! Working with Amanda and the team at A&S was such a pleasure. We hosted a luncheon for 55 people to celebrate my grandmother's 100th birthday (i know, wow!) and from the moment I connected with Amanda I knew this was going to be the easiest part of the planning. She quickly called me to get info on the event, chatted me through the catering menus and offerings and worked with me to come up with a menu that would offer a variety of dishes so there was something for everyone. the quote came quickly, was simple and easy to understand and even making the payments was smooth sailing. The day of the event, I got a call alerting me the team was on the way to set up and they arrived right on time, coming in and out quickly to set up where we told them we wanted to food, and left within 15 minutes. I was amazed! no mess, no fuss, just professional and so friendly. And the food...wow. This was a house FULL of Italians, so for every single guest to ask me where we ordered the food from because it was that good is a HUGE compliment! We ordered baked ziti, lemon chicken, eggplant parm, meatballs and sausage and peppers and there was so much food that everyone ate and lots of people took leftovers! A&S is our new go to catering company, we are so pleased thank you to the whole team for helping us make my grandmothers 100th birthday so fabulous!“

Very sweet and fixes my sweet tooth, so yummy. I keep forgetting the store is right here by the mall, greatly and conveniently located in a busy shopping plaza. I will be back.“

I stopped in and tried the beef empanada, and it was absolutely amazing. The first thing that stood out was the dough—it had a great texture, perfectly cooked with a nice bite on the outside while still being soft and flavorful. You can tell the dough itself isn’t an afterthought; it actually adds to the overall experience.

The beef filling was flavorful and paired perfectly with the crust. A good empanada sounds simple, but when the dough, seasoning, texture, and filling all come together, it makes a difference.

Manny’s definitely nailed this one. Next time I’m going back to explore more of the menu, but that beef empanada will absolutely be part of the order again.

“I drive 45 minutes on my one day off to come here whenever I get the chance because it is absolutely the best bakery here in South Florida. I’ve tried their cookies, pastries, bread and everything is always fresh, delicious, and memorable. I almost don’t want to recommend it to people for fear it won’t be my little secret anymore, but these ladies consistently knock it out of the park and they deserve all the love (loaf?)— ALSO they do a great job at clearly posting when they will be closed; just check here on Google and you’ll never have an issue!“

But I'm there every week - so much to say. 1) If you want a traditional butcher, who knows how to clean, cut and recommend meat, then save your peace of mind and money. Ditch the rest and go the Doris. 2) I'm from Europe and gave up on finding a good butcher.....then I found Doris. I needed a lamb shoulder for Christmas. They cut, trimmed and gave me the best lamb roast I've ever had the luck to find. But it wasn't luck. They'll even tell you how to cook it. I went back got whole, leg and thing, split chicken breasts. Then I graduated to the freshly made Italian sausages, clams, and other sundry items. I genuinely enjoy shopping there. Yes, the queues for meat can be long. But that's only because those who know, go to Doris and the staff are very nice, professional and knowledgeable. For value, quality, exceptional customer service and a restaurant quality finish to all your meals, I cant find another store than bests them. I've stopped buying supermarket meat fish, baked goods and fruit/veg. For what I pay in publix and the rest of them, the quality just isn't there. Eat clean, eat healthy - go to Doris and stay out of the Dr's office. 10/10“

“So I already knew that their cakes and cupcakes and cookies were delicious and beautiful - I especially enjoy the cookie cakes because to me they taste like a real homemade chocolate chip cookie (far superior to a Publix cookie cake, for comparison) - but what I just found out today is that their quiches are also delicious; I stopped by randomly and decided to get a piece of the cheese and bacon quiche which has this amazing hashbrown potato crust and it is simply TO DIE FOR. I know my husband is going to love it too, because he loves hash browns, and I intended to save half for him but that simply did not happen. I will have to go back and next time get two pieces. So I recommend LoveLee Bakeshop for special events AND for a treat on a regular day along with a delightfully satisfying cup of coffee.“

The ackee and saltfish was cooked to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and seasoned just right. You can tell it was made with care and authenticity. And the hominy porridge? Let's just say it's not for the faint of heart! It's rich, hearty, and packed with traditional flavor. If you're familiar with authentic Jamaican breakfasts, you'll definitely appreciate it.
