My friend ordered her wedding cake from this bakery. When she and her husband cut into the cake, it was a yellow cake! She had ordered red velvet, consistent with her wedding theme. They also refused to offer a refund. I cannot recommend doing business with someone who refuses to take care of customers!
I’ve been coming to the housewife’s bakery for several years now they still have the best Italian pizza and stuffed potatoes in all of Tampa and there deserts are too die for!!! Love it and they are so professional and the store is always so clean……. Keep up the great work guys
Picked up an order for scacciatta , which was placed about 4 days ago and politely asked if it was made fresh to order and “Alex” assured me that it was. Got home and began to organize it into a serving tray. I could not believe what I saw…. The bread was hard as a brick (someone could literally break a tooth biting into it) and it was slathered with an open can of tomato sauce, which obviously was done in a quick hurry with a few sprinkles of cheese and that was it… wham,...read full review

**Housewife Bakery & Cafe** offers a really good selection of Spanish Pastries, Cookies, various kinds of cakes, sandwiches, empanadas, and coffees. The quality of ingredients in the cakes is very good, and they have a huge variety of sweets and light food. The service is quick and the staff are friendly, helpful, and polite. The locale is clean with a nice area to sit and sip coffee.
However, some items have received mixed feedback. While the pastries have the perfect amount of crunch to softness and are full of flavor, the Cuban sandwich has been described as very small, bland, and not crunchy. The ham and cheese croissant was considered very average. Some empanadas were also not as great as expected, and prices can be a tad expensive. Despite this, the breakfast sandwich was enjoyed by some. The customer service is excellent, and the team is very accommodating. Overall, it is a beautiful bakery that is recommended for pastries and sweets.
