Amazing! The sauces are so good they should sell both by the jar. I should try something else but the chicken is so good I can’t. Always friendly service too!“

“This is one of my very favorite restaurants. Really good Cuban/Spanish food. Spanish beef stew is terrific, Cuban pork is scrumptious, roast chicken is fantastic! Yellow rice, black beans are just what you expect (ask for raw onions to put on the beans and rice). Everything I've eaten here has been very good to great. Prices are fair, staff is wonderful and very helpful, even when they are very busy. While you're eating, order sandwiches to go. I've had one or more of everything on their sandwich menu, all are very good, easily ranking with the best in Tampa.“

Portions are filling so you might need a take away box. The empanadas as a starter are a great choice. Bathrooms could use a remodel.“

“I stayed at Hotel Alba Tampa in March 2025 and cannot say enough about the amazing hospitality, kindness, and service at this beautiful property. Beatrix (hope I spelled her name correctly) the lovely woman who greeted me at the front desk was lovely, and thoughtful and gave our group white glove attention every single day! I have been meaning to write a fan letter about Beatrix since I left your beautiful hotel. I cannot say enough about this consummate professional who showered our group of hard-working school nurses with support, care, and special amenities. Yes, the elevators were having issues, but hello...they were still recovering from a series of hurricanes. Despite that small inconvenience, the staff had a sense of humor about the mechanical issues and provided excellent service, including a fully staffed elevator with a very fun monkey (stuffed animal) named George. Hotel Alba Tampa is beautiful, cozy, and filled with special touches that feel magical. The staff is attentive, and accommodating and works hard to meet the needs of their guests.“

However the mofongo is my fave so far that I've tried in Tampa, and their mangu is amazingggg!

“so it's a mixed review. we went to Celebrate a friend's Birthday. the package fee is ridiculous and not worth the price tag. is it fun yes but short and a bit unorganized and no where near $180. the food is good but priced on the higher side and limited menu so definitely check it out before going. drinks are same, overly priced for the location. its attached to the Quality Inn and a older space they are trying to pass as a high end south beach bar/club. our waitress was low energy and not very attentive although the place was not very busy when we went. the music is fun but way too loud for a restaurant environment.“

“Great customer service, the breakfast platter of Calentao Completo comes with rice & beans, mixed together, scrambled eggs on the side & a good size portion of a boneless pork chop , areapa & cheese and coffee .That meal is enough to keep you full all day.The icing on the cake was the bakery where you can choose from pan de bono, a cheese bread delight, or many of their tasty danishes, and sweet treats. My favorite place to eat when I am in town. A hidden gem for sure.“
