“So delicious. A co worker turned me on to this chicken many years ago and I have to get it when I’m in the area. I always get the half or quarter chicken combo with cilantro rice and spicy beans. Amazing! The sauces are so good they should sell both by the jar. I should try something else but the chicken is so good I can’t. Always friendly service too!“

“Absolutely fantastic food and the people working are super nice! I love the squash & queso pupusas as well as the beans & queso pupusas, they're delicious with salsa and crema! The atmosphere could use an update and the plaza it is at is not the prettiest or easiest to park in but the actual food and service are 100% worth it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. She even made sure we didn't have any food allergies. We shared the coconut shrimp and chicken wings & they were fantastic. 🍤🍗 My friend had the jerk shrimp pasta and she enjoyed it. I had the seafood paella & it was packed with flavor. 😋 The dragon fruit margarita & Bahama mama were both delicious.🍹 We were too stuffed to try dessert. All the food offered from Gorditos can be mixed in how good they taste. I enjoyed my own food, but the other person in my party personally didn’t enjoy the empanadas. The sauces were a nice touch, though. Overall, would consider other places in Sparkman Wharf.“

“I stayed at Hotel Alba Tampa in March 2025 and cannot say enough about the amazing hospitality, kindness, and service at this beautiful property. Beatrix (hope I spelled her name correctly) the lovely woman who greeted me at the front desk was lovely, and thoughtful and gave our group white glove attention every single day! I have been meaning to write a fan letter about Beatrix since I left your beautiful hotel. I cannot say enough about this consummate professional who showered our group of hard-working school nurses with support, care, and special amenities. Yes, the elevators were having issues, but hello...they were still recovering from a series of hurricanes. Despite that small inconvenience, the staff had a sense of humor about the mechanical issues and provided excellent service, including a fully staffed elevator with a very fun monkey (stuffed animal) named George. Hotel Alba Tampa is beautiful, cozy, and filled with special touches that feel magical. The staff is attentive, and accommodating and works hard to meet the needs of their guests.“

“so it's a mixed review. we went to Celebrate a friend's Birthday. the package fee is ridiculous and not worth the price tag. is it fun yes but short and a bit unorganized and no where near $180. the food is good but priced on the higher side and limited menu so definitely check it out before going. drinks are same, overly priced for the location. its attached to the Quality Inn and a older space they are trying to pass as a high end south beach bar/club. our waitress was low energy and not very attentive although the place was not very busy when we went. the music is fun but way too loud for a restaurant environment.“

“I really like this place. I got 3 empanadas, a good size drink and a box of fries for less than 10 dollars. I never had empanadas before and they were great. They were so hot I burned my tongue but that's okay. The fries and drink were good too, and the staff was friendly. I was reading some of the other reviews and saw some negative reviews, but I don't agree with those. I'm going to come back here in the future“
