“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

We asked for a special dish because of my food allergies and they pay close attention of that. “This place has the best authentic Mexican food . We had the enchiladas with the rice and beans. Also had the tongue tacos and the Cabeza tacos. So good. The food was amazing. Definitely a taste of Mexico. It's a small place. Only 6 tables but also doubles as a meat market. The staff was super friendly. Did not have a long wait for our food. Maybe twelve minutes or so, considering all the people that were coming in for take out. This will be my go to place for Mexican food. Definitely a hidden gem.“

My daughter had the burrito ? it was pricey but HUGE. I was just looking for a new authentic Mexican place, and I was pleasantly surprised.“

“Everything about Salsita's is magic. Their customer service is top notch, and just as importantly, their food is fantastic. I usually get the carne asada street tacos with a side of rice and beans, and my partner loves the carnitas quesadilla. Their red salsa is spot on with what I grew up with in Southern California. The elote in a cup is not to be missed and is made with fresh corn. Get it 'spicy' to have it prepared with mayonnaise and Tajin!“
