“Augie Conde and I stopped at THE CITRUS PLACE on our trip home from St Petersburg last week. It's a really cool old school Florida souvenir shop and citrus market. It's located on route 301 just off of the first exit from the southbound side of the Sunshine Skyway bridge. It's owned by Trish and Carole. They were so kind and generous sharing some wonderful items and memories with us. We bought some vintage Florida souvenirs and some old citrus packing bags. We also bought tropical citrus jelly and marmalade. We'll be bringing the vintage items to the next FLORIDIANA FEST that will be held February 20-21 at the Sarasota Fairgrounds Potter Building. We're looking forward to seeing you there ! We'll definitely be back soon !”

“We were out on a walk and O Bricks was recommended to us for a great dinner spot and it did NOT disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing, quick, fresh and delicious. “we are having a 'staycation' of sorts to visit Anna Maria Island Beach, and I have to stay, after walking to 5(!) restaurants and being turned away, this amazing restaurant allowed me and my family of 5 to stay. Not only did they welcome us, Doug, our server, laughed with my kiddos, treated us like we were royalty and made our little staycation dinner- well...amazing. This is the kind of place that makes a city it resides in..PROUD. The food was nothing short of amazing, I am celiac and struggle on vacations, knowing where to eat. Thankful to God, that this chef is gluten intolerant - so I could eat just about everything on the menu. Do not be discouraged..they might not have a kids menu, but that did not stop Chateau 13 from editing any dish they were interested in to make them smile. I thought they were going to make me order another side of 'frites' to go!”

“The private sunset cruise was AMAZING!!! Got to go on a sand bar and find all sorts of sea creatures and saw sting ray and a ton of dolphins. The sunset was gorgeous! Highly recommend.”

“Hubby had the cod, ff and coleslaw. The cod was perfectly breaded very lightly, the french fries yummy and we never got to the coleslaw (taking home leftovers). I had the shrimp scampi fettuccine, in butter sauce – Yum! The bread with the oil dip was wonderful. I highly recommend this place and wish they were much closer to where I live (SRQ airport-could replace Primos! I’m just suggesting).”

“On 08-03-2025 I ate at the Sonny's restaurant at 631 67th St Cir E in Bradenton, FL. This is a family-style BBQ restaurant with a very comfortable and welcoming ambiance. I arrived for dinner and was promptly seated. I had their Big Deal Turkey on a bun with fries, a side order of baked beans, and an unsweet tea. My food arrived in a timely manner and was cooked properly. It came exactly as I ordered it and was very tasty. A variety of sauces were available, and I selected the Sweet sauce. My server during my visit was Danielle. She was very efficient, kept my tea glass filled, and responded to any and all requests I had. I have had Danielle for a server several times before, and I consistently receive superior service from her. She is always friendly and courteous and takes a genuine interest in her customers, making sure that they have a positive dining experience. She is a credit and an asset to the business. I recommend this restaurant and will be returning there again to eat.”

“My friend and I went on Saturday night. We both had a drink and ordered appetizer while looking at the menu. Our waiter was right there with our hot appetizer within minutes. We both ordered shrimp and scallops coleslaw hush puppies along with our fried calamari appetizer. Our food was one of the best we've had in and around Bradenton/Sarasota. “I had a health concern happen while I was entertaining myself and the locals with some guitar music, good conversation and lots of pool games. I got dehydrated and the paranoia set in hard. Luckily these folks are good people and all my belongings were kept, safely. When I got well and was able to retrieve them. I was well cared for and never made to feel unwelcome though I’m afraid I might have made a fool of myself. Maybe again some day without the dehydration? I hope so!”

“I made reservations for my friend's birthday and 2 other guests were joining us. Unfortunately the reservation went to another Tiramisu in another city. Therefore, no reservations showed when our party arrived. The host was icey, lacked empathy or understanding. He was extremely demeaning and haughty. Finally sat us at a table next to the kitchen which was appreciated. Our waiter was stellar and made everything feel friendly again. The food was outstanding......every course. Im a local for 48 years but the host made me feel like an idiot. Never smiled (not to anyone else arriving later). Maybe not the best first impression to offer your patrons.”
