“food poisoning? I ate the fishermans platter on October 10th and got very sick. Has anyone else experience this?”

“We gave our name and were told, “30 minutes.” After one hour checked and were told, “7 ahead of you.” After one hour and 15 minutes were told, “2 ahead of you.” After watching 4 go ahead of us checked again. Manager said, “ thousands are checking in every day. We’re doing what we can.” After one hour and 45 minutes, and harassment from us, we were finally seated. Very poor experience.”

“I ordered a fillet Tender Loin Oscar it was tough, had to chew on it for awhile, everything else was ok. Wife had steak tacos, same thing, tough to chew. I guess if you order something else, your properly ok.”

“Rjs is located right on prime real estate! Located in lake Sumter landing square right on the water! Sometimes you can actually see a gator swim by, live singer from 2-5pm at the outside bar everyday! Highly recommend checking out their entertainment of the day. $4.25 on most drafts. $6-8 mixed drinks. $4 wines. Food is great, many options, more than just sea food! Wings are huge! Also, fried items can come GRILLED!!!! For all the GF people you know how amazing that can be! Service is fantastic! Give them a try. Oh and the gator tail pie 🤌🏻 out of this world it has all the tables around you buzzing with attention and curiosity!”

“First time here. Great dinner. However, we didn’t receive any bread after receiving our drinks. I asked the waitress for some and she brought 4 small breadsticks. Never mentioned that I would be charged $3!! Unreal. How cheap is this restaurant owner? His greed for my $3 just cost them soooo much more because I’ll never go back.”

She was so sweet, and helpful and kept checking on us and filling up my husband's coffee. We weren't expecting this because of how crowded it was but Erika handled everything with ease. She is the best server we have ever had since moving here. You are lucky to have such a caring employee.”

“After golf, 4 of us stopped by, sat at bar. Ricki took wonderful care of us, we had 2 meat loaf meals, 1 fish and chips, and a chicken rice bowl. All were delicious. Place was packed when we left, I would have to say mostly local folks who know a good place. One of our favorite places.”

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.”

“Our friends took us there for my birthday the other night. It was absolutely wonderful. Service was excellent. The food was delicious. The quantity was just overwhelming overwhelming. The three of us got a bento box and we absolutely loved it. I would go back and get that 100 times over my husband got a teriyaki shrimp dinner which had 12 huge delicious shrimp on it. The prices were more than reasonable and we had an absolutely lovely dinner. What a hidden treasure. We will definitely return.”

“First time we went in to eat a pizza with our favorite topping caramelized onion and roasted red pepper 🌶️ it was absolutely amazing 💯 the next two times we went in and ordered it to go with the same toppings, but they do not load up on the toppings that you purchase if you’re taking it out and the crust is softer, I guess it depends on who is making them that day. Love the service though and decor 👍 just some advice when somebody orders toppings be a little bit more generous and make sure each piece of pizza has them on!”

“Crab rangoon & fried butterfly shrimp was hot and fresh. Rangoons were oozing with cream cheese, taste just right, but it lacked crab meat. It was more cream cheese than I'm used to. But overall everything was good.”

“It's been 5 years since I had American Chinese food! Hit the spot-ish. Shrimp egg rolls were delicious.
The shrimp egg foo young was bland. [I'm used to no gravy] but this was 0 flavor on the patty itself. Added soy sauce and it was good.
Beef and broccoli and king pao chicken were good! Huge portions for even the small option.”

“It was Subway. You been to one you been to most all of them. Service was good all of the ingredients and bread were very fresh. Their specials make it very affordable to eat there.”

“Me and My Husband have lived in the area and worked at local restaurants in the area for the past 20 years. It is the only late night spot open so we used to go all the time but we had given up after time and again The service and food was disgusting. We even went there with my family one night to dine in and this was in December. There was a horrible smell coming from behind our booth long story short there was food and a valentines menu proving that they never clean the place. The place was truly disgusting as was the service and food. Like I said earlier, I work in the area as a bartender so a lot of people have been telling me that it was taken over by new management and the improvement was unbelievable so tonight we decided to get to go order after I got off of work.
When I walked in, I was so impressed with how much they have cleaned this place and redone things. It smelled good. I even took a peek behind the booth and there was nothing behind any of the booths. I was greeted right away by at least three employees and my to go food was ready in 15 minutes. We got home and I have to say that was the best food I have ever had from any Applebee’s. So whoever the new management is that took over this place is really doing a good job. We were so impressed. We will be back.”

“The Funghi Bianco pizza is my favorite!! I have yet to find anything comparable at other Italian places. I make the drive, just for this pizza! I haven’t tried any of they’re red sauce pizza.”

Whatever you are paying her is not enough. She is also a lot of fun for a bunch of old crazy golfers like us. She can turn a bad day of golf into a fun time at lunch. Darrell’s is really good, too.”
