“I hadn't tried this place but decided to do online pickup. What a great choice! I walked in at exactly the time I had put on my order and they were ready for me. I had the Kona Fire bowl and it was delicious. It's a convenient location so I'll definitely be back!“
“Amber is an awesome waitress. She made sure my husband’s allergies were taken care of. Everything was perfect. I wish they would use the natural yellow ginger instead as some people are allergic to the red dye in the ginger used. Will definitely come back here again?Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free choices“
“Great food and service when I've gone. We always do the all you can eat menu... chose the pieces you want... make sure you look to see if what you're choosing comes in 1 piece or more. Some orders come with more than 1, but it's marked which ones. We did the math and the all you can eat is much less than a la carte if you plan on having a lot of sushi.Bon AppétitParking: There is paid parking behind it in the back if there is no free parking up front.“
“Great little spot for sushi & Thai food! Food was ready soon after calling in to order. Highly recommend the miso soup! My sushi came along with some tempura & a spring roll. It was a nice surprise! The staff are so friendly. I'd definitely come back!“
“The food was amazing! Stopped here on the suggestion of Brittany at Comfort Inn. It is in downtown Melbourne, FL. It is a very popular restaurant so you may have to wait to be seated. The Chicken Katsu with house sauce was great! The sauce is salty but great when the Chicken Katsu is dipped in it. The Deep Fried Cheesecake with vanilla ice cream is unbelievably good.If you are in the area, you should try it. You will not be disappointed.“
“I have only been here twice the second time for my birthday dinner but actually a couple of days before my birthday, My wife and I remembered how much we liked everything about Siam Orchid when we were there so I decided that's what I wanted for my birthday dinner. Anyway the subject came up and before we left they bought all 4 of us an amazing dessert. The place the people and the food ARE INCREDIBLE!!!! I highly recommend going..... REPEATEDLY!!! The Dunken noodles (just saying) ?“
“Im telling anyone... ANYONE... who reads this review? This is THE BEST Thai food that you will find in Brevard county. This location is consistently good and I CHOOSE to drive 40 minutes to go pick it up!! I definitely recommend the monkey brain and the masaman curry with chicken. I also recommend the pad thai (I just usually dont get it because its such a large portion!! plenty for 2 to share). This place is AWESOME!!!“
“Jao Thai Kitchen 914 W. New Haven Ave. Melbourne, FL 32901 4.5 Stars (I went again after this review and it was even better) Arg! I stared in disbelief at yet another Thai/Sushi combo place staring up at me from my random name generator. You have got to be kidding me. How many of these hybrid clip joints have sprung up as of late? They are beginning to look a lot like Starbucks...you know, one on every corner. This time, I was headed to Jao Thai Kitchen, located in a minuscule strip mall just east of Dairy Road in Melbourne, FL. My wait staff for this culinary excursion was none other than One. While I have it on good word that One is the loneliest number, I have to admit I appreciate the new identity of using a form or letter of their actual name instead of a random generic “American” name such as Mary or Sue. This is now the 5th Thai restaurant where I encountered this new nomenclature, which is a refreshing and positive change. I asked One for an order of their Jalapeno roll, some Chicken Panang Curry and a Tuna Hand Roll. One returned at a moment’s notice with our order and after snapping a few pics, I grabbed the Jalapeno Roll and commenced tasting. This exciting concoction consisted of tuna, salmon, hamachi, asparagus, cucumber, smelt roe, jalapeno and spicy sauce topped with avocado. Like all stuffed rolls, this one can trace its roots back to the California roll sans the obligatory fake crab center. I prefer this type of roll as I really don’t like paying for fish masquerading as crab. There was just enough kick with the jalapeno and spicy sauce to entertain one’s taste buds. Next up on the Big Boy’s palate was the Chicken Panang Curry. Panang Curry has to be one of my favorite of the Thai curries. It is mild, complex and sweet with a hint of heat. This was perfectly cooked, including the tender pieces of all-white meat chicken and Thai basil, carrots and bell peppers that were fresh and obviously sliced in the back. This brings me to my Sushi join barometer of the Tuna Hand Roll. I found this one to be better than most, but it's still not quite what you would find in a traditional Sushi Ya (shop/restaurant). The tuna was a lovely shade of red and the rice was steamed to perfection. However, I found it to be severely lacking in the traditional additions one usually finds in a Tuna Hand Roll, such as a slice or two of Gobo (Japanese Burdock root/carrot or, more often, plain carrot), watercress sprouts and cucumber. This was fine, just on the simple side. It would have been rather bland on the palate if not for soy sauce. The Big Boy says, “If traditional Japanese Sushi is not your thing, for whatever reason, or you are just hankering for a hunk of raw fish and are nearby, Jao Thai Kitchen can adequately fill that sushi void.”“
“I can honestly say that this was some of the best Thai/Asian food I have had in a very long time. The sushi we had was amazing, my drunken noodles didn't even stand a chance. My wife's dish was cooked perfectly. And the kicker is my kids ate all the food on their kid meals. The staff was friendly, and Joy was a blast. The food and atmosphere were to die for and we will definitely be going back.“
“Far and away the best, most consistently outstanding sushi place in the area. We lived here for years, and visited Haru almost weekly, and just came back after 4 years away, and it seems to have only gotten better.Amazing selection, artistic preparation. The A5 Waygu sashimi was melt in the mouth, the Toro Tartare appetizer was exceptional. We shared an Omakase selection of sushi/sashimi that forced us to be quiet and slow down just to savor every piece.Brian and Knox are absolute artists that bring a level of excellence to sushi in Melbourne that is unmatched.“
“Very nice, cozy restaurant ... I think family owned and operated. Very, very polite and professional. This is a great date restaurant. Excellent food and intimate atmosphere. Pricing is mid-range ... I think they are open for dinner only. We've been driving by for years, but tonight everything else was closing/closed at 9pm .... they stay open till 9:30. What a lucky break we were forced to finally try it! This is now one of our go-to neighboorhood restaurants. ?“
“Just had there chicken bowl and dumplings. Both are very good. Suprisingly good, hence my review. Chicken bowl w rice and 2 peices of sushi was a nice touch. Kind service too, thanks fellas. Chicken was eaten before picture was taken, sushi not for me so no review on that. 5 stars.“
“We were there on March 9th with a large party. We had Amber as our server and she is is a very welcoming and awesome server. She handled our party of 20ish people with a smile. She is great!! The food was good and we were happy with the service. We will definitely be back.“
“Thai Koji, 2330 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32935 4.5 Stars Holy Rainbow Roll, Batman! Yet another Thai/Japanese combo hash house was staring at me from my random name generator. I have to fix this; all I'm getting lately are these places and Tex-Mex joints. This time, I was heading OTB to sample the fares offered at Thai Koji off of N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne, FL. After being seated, handed a menu and assured my server would be right with me, I took a few pictures of the place and got ready to snap some of the menu. When I opened it, much to my surprise, I had committed a deterrational act. In so doing, I uncovered a leader in the Thai/Japanese cohort. As previously mentioned, I have a relative currently residing in Thailand. They have assured me on numerous occasions that two things you never find in a restaurant there are chopsticks and sushi. This place knew that and had two DISTINCT menus: Japanese and Thai, leaving little room for discussion. Am was our waiter for the meal and other waitstaff should take lessons from this man. He was exceptional in every category in which a server can be ranked. Well done, Good Sir! I asked Am for some Chicken Satay, Pad Kra Pow Stir Fry w/minced pork and a Lobster Roll. Sitting back and taking in the chill vibe, I wasn't too long before Am was seen returning with my feastage. I quickly dug in as the fusillade of fabulous fragrances ambushed my olfactory nerves. The Chicken Satay consisted of huge pieces of breast meat skewered, grilled to perfection and paired with a delicious Thai peanut sauce. The cucumber salad served on the side was fresh, crisp and delightful, consisting of freshly sliced and chopped cucumber, tomatoes and red pepper in a delicious dressing of Thai flavors. Next up was the Pork Pad Kra Pow Stir fry and this was also wonderful. The minced pork was tender, the rice was perfectly steamed and the side spring roll was a treat to my taste buds. The complex flavors in the Pad Kra Pow were executed flawlessly and stimulated my palate as only correctly prepared Thai food can. Moving on to the final item to be tasted on this foray into the sea of Thai/Japanese combo places, I direct your attention to the Lobster Roll. First, please take a peek at the picture of said roll. It is certainly a work of art to the discerning eye. With krab inside, fresh tuna on top and a wonderful spicy sauce drizzled to top it off, it looked far better than it tasted. I am fairly sure I got the last Lobster tail in the freezer as it came off slightly freezer-burned. If it weren't for that tiny, albeit important detail, this would have been a 5-star meal. The Big Boy says, "In a pool with a myriad of choices for Thai/Japanese places to dine, make a point to visit this one."“
“I agree the employees are not very warm, however their food is top notch. We love the dinner bento box. You can choose whatever protein you want or opt for vegetarian. There is so much food! Their tempura, salad, soup and California rolls are the best! We travel about 30 mins to this place to eat and it’s worth it.“
“Went to our go to favorite for lunch. The Bento box's are fantastic, hands down. My better half had her usual salmon. She has never in all the years that we have gone there had a bad box. Me, always the Shrimp Tempura, the same for me...never had a bad one. My suggestion is if you want lunch..before 3 for the specials do not pass them by. Friendly and courteous staff, what more could I say.“
“Quaint little thai place with great food. To start, the building is unassuming but very clean. I had the pad thai with tofu, lunch special which came with soup or salad. I chose the salad with ginger dressing and it was very tasty (lunch specials are 7 days a week, 11:30-2:00) The portion was adequate and the ingredients were fresh. I also had the thai fried spring rolls. They were fried golden color which told me the oil was fresh. I would definitely stop in again if I'm in the area“
“Found this on UberEats and was not disappointed. Had food delivered, so couldn’t speak to staff or atmosphere, but food was super yummy. Ordered the Steamed pork Gyoza (I think there were 6?), spring rolls (3), and chicken ginger (no spice). The gyoza was steamed perfectly and had good flavor. The cole slaw-like stuff in the bottom of the dish was unnecessary and there was some sort of seasoning or crumbles (?) sprinkled on top - aside from these garnishes, the gyoza was fantastic. The spring rolls were still crispy (everything was still hot, even with ~15 min UberEats delivery despite this rare, chilly night!) and the dipping sauce was spicy/yummy. I had the chicken ginger with white rice. Also very tasty. My only complaint is I couldn’t request on UberEats to hold the mushrooms (my reason for 4/5 stars on service), so if/when I eat here again I’ll try calling the order in directly, ordering on their own website or just dine in. As was, I was able to easily pick out the mushrooms and the dish totally “hit the spot.” So much food, had to save some for tomorrow! Price plus delivery came to around $37-38. Overall, 5-stars and would highly recommend.“
“First time visiting here. I was greeted promptly by entering. The young lady at the counter took the time to patiently explain the menu, and how to go about choosing my ingredients for the Poké bowl. Alas, I went for the Filet Mignon Hibachi for carry out. It comes with the protein, fried rice, sweet carrots, and vegetables (zucchini and onion). It's also served with a side of clear soup. I waited about 12 minutes for my order. The restaurant has limited seating with some chairs for waiting and a high top counter with a few seats to eat there. It appeared clean and well organized. She offered more YumYum Sauce. when I arrived at my destination, I was happy to find that the food was hot, fresh, well prepared & packaged, and everything I needed by way of napkins sauces, & plasticware were included in the bag. We have plenty of options for hibachi in our community. In particular I can think of a very popular place up the road where you can get hibachi and a show. If you are just wanting hibachi without the show, this place will certainly fit that bill with comparable food and much lower prices.Oh and they also have boba drinks.“
“This place is the most amazing place to go with your family, they have the best food and I'm not even kidding they do NOT skimp you out, it's a lot!! The atmosphere is fantastic and fun and the service is apart of that!! The chefs are so funny and always make my family and I laugh. I never have a bad experience here even if I just go to the bar section without the grill in front of you, there isn't a bad spot in here!! They also absolutely love love love kids...they always make the kids laugh and have a good time with the amazing show they put on!! Best place for a family to eat with plenty of lovely food and have a great night!“
“Food and service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and with good humor. Menu was good and funny, though a few items could have had descriptions (like the sushi rolls). Cozy and comfortable with what looks like authentic paintings. Music was very loud for it not being a full house. I would go again.Kid-friendliness: Section in menu for little ones“
“We went for the all you can eat hot pot and were highly impressed! There is a learning curve since we never have had it before but the staff was very helpful. Great selection of veggies, meats and seafood. Don’t forget the huge selection of sauces! We will be back .“
“This place is a hidden gem! Luckily we got there just before the dinner rush because it got packed fast! We were in and out in less than an hour. Service was prompt and thoughtful. The food was great. The dim lighting made the atmosphere very intimate.“
