I ACCIDENTALLY bumped into this spot after leaving the cruise ship on Monday. I wanted a close breakfast spot with "soul". The outside is unassuming and doesnt "invite" you in and say WELCOME. This is mainly due to location (even my UBER driver thought I was at a car repair shop). But Im from Chicago and I know about "hole in the walls". We had fabulous food and service for a reasonable price. The lobster nuggets & shrimp were great!
I heard about this place last week and decided to give them a try. They didn’t disappoint. Good service and good food.

Intracoastal Chicken & Seafood is a hidden gem and a true hood gem with iron bars on the entrances, located across from an automotive shop. The outside is unassuming and doesn't invite you in, but there is treasure inside worth protecting. The food is delicious. For breakfast, the bacon is cooked nice, the sausage is like a spicy polish kind of thing that is FYRE, and the coffee is the star of the show. The grits and sausage are tasty, and the eggs are scrambled just right. For lunch and dinner, the portions are good, freshly fried, and taste great. The lemon pepper fried chicken is a favorite, and the fried catfish, fried shrimp, and chicken wings are great. The potato salad and dirty rice are the best, just like how an Aunt makes it in Louisiana. The grouper is good, and the standard 2 piece combo meal is worth the money. The atmosphere is not great, but the front counter guy is very helpful with a great demeanor and professional presence. For the price, this is a good affordable lunch spot. One person meal is around $16. Order the food, grab it, say hi to the counter guy, and roll out.
