“Best Thai restaurant ever“

“Let me begin by saying that I am very detailed oriented when I review a restaurant. For prices charged these days the experience should be exceptional and it can be the attention to detail that makes the difference between a 5 or 4 star rating.

This was our first visit to Coco Thai. We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. We started with the green papaya salad and Tom Kha Gai soup. The salad was the best I have ever had and I order it at any Thai restaurant we patronize. The spices were perfectly blended and the green papaya was crisp and fresh. The soup was perfect as well. It had a generous amount of chicken and mushrooms and it was light and refreshing. I ordered the Pad Se Eu. It was very tasty and a generous portion. My husband ordered his go to dish, Red Curry. It needed more sauce and the flavor was rather bland and disappointing. However there are so many delicious sounding dishes on the menu there are many reasons to return and try other items.

Here’s where the discrimination comes in. The decor was very modern and clean but the Christmas tinsel around the ceiling and the valentine hearts hanging by the bar totally cheesed up the place. Time to take down the Dollar Tree cheap decorations. The bathroom was clean, the floors could use a good scrub especially the grout and the walls were splattered with dirt from the mop. Bathrooms in restaurants should be pristine.

Overall, it was a good dining experience and we will return, try more dishes and look forward to returning. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.“
