me and my husband both ordered the chopped pork plate with Brunswick stew and when it came out it was ice cold told the waitress she brought us some more and that was ice cold as well they had no cole slaw my husband ordered the baked beans he said they were not good at all Jds has really gone down hill
Did the Brunch buffet today. Everything I sampled was good to excellent. Definitely no complaints. All the staff were helpful, courteous, and smiling. JD even played a pinball game with my 2 grandsons.
My only complaint, if you want to call it that,was being charged for ice tea. Trust me, that won't stop us from going again. EXCELLENT!!

The Brisket plate was good and super juicy, but could have used a little more seasoning, while the wings had the best flavor ever. The Mac and cheese skillet with chicken was delicious, though the Mac and cheese was not hot and the fried green tomatoes were too salty. The ribs and brisket were decent, and the hush puppies lacked flavor. The BBQ chicken's smoking process was unclear, and the peach cobbler was bland, with banana pudding being unavailable. The restaurant has a loud dining room and outdoor seating available, and while service can be slow, possibly due to being busy or understaffed, it is still considered worth the wait. Customers appreciate the classic sides, with one noting the best coleslaw ever, and find the staff friendly. The restaurant is very clean and smells wonderful, making it a good place for groups with immediate seating. JD's also sells souvenir t-shirts. Some customers mentioned issues with online ordering, specifically with automatic tips being added, but they still enjoyed the food and location.
