my new favorite restaurant. Marcus Alford made my experience ten times better! thank you for everything
I came to Central City Tavern with some co-workers for happy hour and my overall experience was just okay, nothing great. Location in downtown Alpharetta is convenient and close to other shops, bars, and restaurants. The place is pretty nice on the inside and they have a nice outdoor space but there was only one bartender working and she seemed really overwhelmed so it took a long time to get our drinks and food even though the place was only moderately busy. It's not a terrible...read full review
This place has become one of my favorite discoveries on work trips to the Alpharetta area. It has the feel of a true neighborhood tavern where the regulars know the bartenders by name.
My first visit happened during a World Cup match, and even though the place was packed, the staff was hustling, stayed friendly, and kept things moving. My second visit was the complete opposite…a rainy weeknight with a much smaller crowd, and it was nice to see the same bartender working...read full review

Central City Tavern offers a good selection of food in an upscale tavern setting. The service could be improved, as orders took quite some time to arrive. However, the delicious meals, such as the burger and wrap, made up for these shortcomings. The staff was friendly, and the managers were attentive to fixing any mistakes. Despite some mishaps, the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was lively but a bit loud due to music and trivia night. The location is great, with a park across the street and other food and shopping venues nearby. Customers can enjoy live music, amazing beer, and great people at this establishment. Many visitors praise the food, especially the smashburger, pulled pork sandwich, and dishes like the pollo alla vodka and Mediterranean salad with salmon. The place is known for its friendly and welcoming environment, especially during popular events like trivia nights. However, some recent experiences suggest that the quality can vary, with occasional days when the food may not meet expectations, and prices can be high. Still, the overall vibe and location make it a popular spot for dining and socializing.
