Had a very good lunch at this legendary dining spot. The fried chicken was excellent, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I had the candied yams and corn as sides - both of which are hard to mess up. The yams were fine, nothing special - basically yams with some sweet sauce on them and the corn was corn. The best part was the peach cobbler which was fabulous. The right amount of dough to fruit and so moist. The only criticism I'd have is that the lemonade is very sweet....read full review
We went for our daughter's birthday and each of us had the fried chicken, yams and macaroni and cheese. Service was great and food was delicious. I felt the prices were very fair.

This was my first time visiting this bakery. The prices were reasonable. I bought a few pastries but there was a bag of salted caramel donuts that I purchased that I wasn't pleased with. When I got home I saw that they were past the "best by" date. Then when I went to open them, I discovered that the bag was ripped down the side and the donuts were hard as rocks. I threw the whole bag away. I'll be paying closer attention if and when I visit again. The cashier was too preoccupied...read full review
