About Duke's Hideaway at McCray's

Duke's Hideaway at McCray's is a beltline tiki bar that offers a mixed experience. Located in a great spot with nice views, the bar has an overall good atmosphere and vibe, with a DJ playing 90s R&B and Afrobeats music. However, the drinks received mixed reviews, with some finding them too sweet and sugary.

The food was also described as just "okay" and not great for the price. The nachos, in particular, were noted as disappointing due to poor layering. On the positive side, the outdoor seating and heated area allowed customers to enjoy the cool weather comfortably.

The service received varied feedback, with some praising the amazing waitstaff, while others found the service to be nonexistent until they called someone over. Despite the mixed reviews, one customer described Duke's as a "hidden gem" that they would recommend, highlighting the consistent quality of the wings and strong drinks.

Overall, Duke's Hideaway seems to offer a decent tiki bar experience, with a good atmosphere and some redeeming qualities, but the food and drinks could use some improvement to fully meet customer expectations.

Having been a fan of Tiki Tango, I was very hopeful its successor Duke's Hideaway would be able to capture at least some of the magic lost by Tiki Tango's closure. I finally had the opportunity to drop in on a Wednesday night, but was very disappointed by the experience. While the music being just bad modern generic pop was bad, the real issue was the drinks were just terrible. I watched the bartender just pour the ingredients into the mugs and hand them to us without so much...read full review

I came at the soft opening and was really hopeful since the drinks were OK and the vibe was nice, if hot. However if you're looking for an actual tiki bar, this is not it. I was excited to take friends a year after, only to go and have really bad early 2000's pop (not even good pop) blasting so loud I couldn't hear folks right by me, they don't do drinks in the actual tiki mugs anymore and the bartenders don't know how to make super basic tiki drinks like 3 dots and a dash. If...read full review

I had seen your ads on ig and when I had friends coming from out of town I said this spot looks perfect. I sent my friends your Ig and said we will go get cute drinks. When we visited on Friday around 5pm we were told that you all don't serve the tiki cups on the weekends. This post you posted said "weekend vibes" and then person is holding a tiki cup drink. Is this false advertising or did your bartenders just not want to serve us drinks in tiki cups?
