Negril ATL Reviews
I was celebrating my birthday on Sunday when me, my son and sister stopped by to have lunch. The food was bland and not very seasoned. I told the waitress it was my birthday and to tell Chef to make me something special. She must not have told him or her because I didn’t get anything. I didn’t get a birthday cake or anyone sing happy birthday to me. I was a little hurt and disappointed that it was my birthday and no one cared.
I will not come back!
If you like Caribbean food - this is good! Plus good music from the dj (if you like reggae) 😎

Negril ATL is a Jamaican eatery known for its well-seasoned food and lively atmosphere, especially on Sundays when a live band plays. The restaurant features an elegant and welcoming interior. The codfish fritters are praised for being delicious and not oily, while the oxtail is highlighted as amazing, especially when paired with rice. Although the jerk wings are noted to lack tenderness, the jerk chicken and rice & peas maintain their flavorful reputation. The fried snapper stands out as very delicious, and the beef patties are described as super flaky, spicy, and good. The curry goat and plantain egg rolls have received mixed reviews, with some mentioning bones and gristle. The mac & cheese, served hot from the oven, is a favorite, and the Kernel corn muffin with Guava butter is considered phenomenal. The pineapple ginger juice delivers a fresh, spicy kick. While service can vary, some customers report friendly staff who provide great recommendations, like the shrimp cornbread toast, which is said to be mind-blowing. Food tends to arrive quickly and hot, making it a good spot for smaller parties looking for tasty Jamaican cuisine. Although there are some suggestions for improvement, such as ensuring freshness in the rice and wings, the overall experience at Negril ATL is enjoyable, especially with the option to bring one's own wine.
