“It was Friend Day Out and Mobay Spice was the restaurant of choice. I’m so glad it’s in the Toco Hills Plaza as there is ample parking… Upon walking in, the space is very quaint. There is a nice vibe to the overall ambiance and the overall feel is very inviting and pleasant. After taking in the ambiance we headed to the table for 4 as it is a seat yourself type of setup. Though the space isn’t wide, they did a great job with positioning the table and chairs to ensure you don’t feel crowded. Our waitress greeted us with a warm welcome and menus as soon as we sat down. As I am a lover of Jamaican Food, I was super excited at all the classic offerings and intrigued by such offerings as the Jerk Burger… say whaaaaaaaat! As the waitress arrived back a few moments later, perfect timing I might add I was ready to order. I ordered a Beef Patty as my appetizer and the Jerk Salmon Entree. I swapped out the potatoes that come with the entree for the rice and peas. As we were waiting for our food, the music kept us upbeat and made for such a dope space of engagement. All of the staff who encountered us smiled and spoke which was such a great service experience. Kudos to the team. Once the food came it was an immediate OhMyGosh Moment! The plating was beautiful and the food looked Bombbbbbbb. Beef Patty - classic patty. The meat was well seasoned. The crust was flaky and buttery. The quality of the meat was spot on and there wasn’t any fat or gristle. Very good dish and perfect pick for an appetizer. Jerk Salmon - Two Words… More Please!!!!! The salmon was meaty and moist. It was perfectly grilled without being dry or overdone. The Jerk sauce wasn’t overpowering and allowed for the fish to still be the draw while holding its own. The flavor profile of the seasoning used on the fish paired well with the flavor excitement of the jerk sauce. Furthermore, the jerk sauce wasn’t too spicy as it allowed for you to truly enjoy and savor the flavors presented. Rice and Peas - One Word… FRESH!!!! I mean a different level of freshness. The rice tasted like freshly cooked rice. The peas were authentic and perfectly done. The combination of them as one was moutpleasingly outstanding. Again, neither outshined the other. Each of them held their own and they were married together so well. Great flavor and again, amazing freshness. Steamed Cabbage - Ooh Chile! This cabbage was different. I think it’s the way it was shredded or something because babeeeeeeeeee. This was some of the best cabbage I have had in my whole life. Fresh. Seasoned. Not too hard. Not too soft. And the peppers just put what was already great even greater. I literally had to stop my waitress and tell her to tell the waiter he showed awffffffff with this. LoL!!!! As you can tell, my Mombay Spice experience was amazing. Not only will I be back, I already know what I’m going to order. 😂😂😂😂😂“

“Camp creek is the best pocket area to live in in SW ATL Ms Londun is great server here and keeps everything clean with good service always.

Shout out to old nat golden krust.. uno hold mi down for years but the line too long and now that camp creek got golden krust.. it's a wrap.. mi nah lef. Only tropical cuisine on old nat might si mi. Frittas here, corm meal porridge, curry goat. Only ask for some more coconut milk in my rice and peas and one more fridge for fresh juices and ice cream.“

“Had lunch here today and it was amazing ! The Mac & Cheese was fabulous and the staff is very attentive. The chocolate chip cookies are like no other I’ve ever tasted ! They’re open Fri, Sat & Sun this week and adding Thursday next week. A fabulous addition to the Alpharetta food scene for sure! The patio is beautiful too. Highly recommend!“

“I had a wonderful Bahamian server who was especially kind as she took my order. We ordered oxtail pasta and I took advantage of the crab leg special. The dishes were amazing! They even give you gloves for the mess you are going to make. I will need a plastic bib for the next time I go with crab legs simply because they are so good but make a MESS! I'll definitely be back soon. Great job.“

“Yo I have been looking for good wings for a minute now. Atl used to be the wing capital. Not the wings are trash. VIP HITS HITS!!!! THE CAROLINA GOLDS ARE WHAT THE GAME BEEN MISSING. And you know a good wing spot when someone like me tried extra extra hot 🥵 (and I don’t super hot like that at all) mouth burning but the flavor of the sauce popped harder than the spice. I t was so good and so hot I still asked for another one to switch out with and she wanted another of my golds. This place it’s def the divest wing spot as far as flavor and wings period, also I keep hearing about their jerk. I think the make their sauce from scratch because the y are beyond good. “I ordered the oxtail meal and I really loved the flavor . I haven’t had a good oxtail since I was in Indianapolis at Jamaican Breeze some 3 years ago. I’ve travelled to different states and ordered this dish and this is the first time I was really impressed. A lot of restaurants don’t use the butter beans in the oxtail dish but this place had it which was awesome . The cabbage was okay I wasn’t feeling the seasoning on them. The rice is delicious. The one thing that I didn’t like and I find that a lot of Jamaican restaurants do this is they only gave me two plantain . Now like I said a lot of Jamaican restaurants only serve 2 plantain with the meal but these plantain were very small . I feel like if you’re going to give me the end part of the plantain which is small compared to the middle at least throw in an extra piece . Photo is provided to show what I mean .“
