About Wagaya - Emory Village

Wagaya - Emory Village offers great service with knowledgeable staff who recommend dishes like the pork ramen and special rolls. The ambiance is cozy, resembling a local ramen spot, although some diners have noted fruit flies. The menu features a variety of Japanese fare such as sushi, sashimi, ramen, soba, katsu, and okonomyaki. The specialty nigiri, especially the scallop, is highly praised for its quality. While the restaurant has a decent selection of imported beer, the focus remains on authentic Japanese dishes rather than Americanized sushi. The fried squid appetizer is highlighted as a particularly delicious choice. The establishment can get busy, especially for larger groups, but the overall experience and food quality make it a favorite for many visitors.

Recent feedback shows that the food is fresh, and the staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The Nabeyaki Udon has received a perfect rating, praised for its generous portion and rich, flavorful broth. The tempura vegetables were noted for their crispy texture. The Bagel Roll was also impressive, deep-fried to perfection. However, some diners were disappointed when the restaurant was out of Toro, although they enjoyed the excellent tonkatsu broth and crispy pork. The Pork Gyoza received mixed reviews, with some feeling it lacked flavor. Overall, Wagaya continues to be a popular choice for many.

This place is fabulous. I will definitely visit again on my next trip 😊
This is a great restaurant! Good, quality sushi at reasonable prices. The one time I had a food quality problem, they apologized and gave me free appetizers to make up for it.
My daughter picked this place for birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing! Sushi was so fresh. Prices a very reasonable to the quality of food. Very authentic food and atmosphere. Good selection of Sushi and Sake. Definitely can't wait to go back again and visit the grocery store part when it opens.
