An incredible local coffeehouse by day and bar by night. When I arrived there was live jazz playing which absolutely set the tone that this place was something special. The service was very friendly and the barista gave several recommendations for drinks, the latte was really nice. Great place for a drink, live music, to hangout, watch live sports, and have some delicious coffee. Shannon is friendly, has a nice smile, and makes an amazing white chocolate mocha latte!!!

Based on recent reviews, Metro Pub & Coffeehouse is a unique spot in downtown Augusta offering both a coffeehouse and a bar. The atmosphere is described as pretty unique, with an aesthetic from being older, featuring artwork on the walls and wooden floors. It offers a variety of liquors, cocktails, coffee (both non and alcoholic), and beers, with both indoor/outdoor seating and wifi. The coffee was solid and great, and the danish was fantastic. Prices are great and the price point is fair, though drinks are considered pricey and more expensive on average than most other bars. The food is amazing and fresh. The staff is friendly, with one bartender noted as very nice. A specific menu item mentioned is the Slavic Sadness (iced vanilla coffee + ketal one vodka), and a coffee order of *Go-Lightly with Almond Milk and an extra shot of Butterscotch. A minor criticism is that a chandelier is directly in the way of the menu chalkboard. Parking can be difficult on weekends, so getting there early is advised. The only complaint is that they close at midnight.
