About Pineapple Ink Tavern

Pineapple Ink Tavern offers a wonderful dining experience with friendly staff and delicious food. The brunch menu features huge pancake specials and tasty fried fish and grits. The mocktail carafe is a must-try, and the restaurant is especially known for its amazing mimosa flight, particularly the guava flavor, which is highly recommended. Guests have enjoyed the fresh, cooked-to-order food, with many praising the Cuban dishes that taste like homemade food. The Cuban sandwich stands out, and many customers have expressed a desire to see individual dinner sides included on the brunch menu for a fuller Cuban experience.

The service is often described as fantastic, with attentive staff like Kevin, who is knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The well-decorated space creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for family dinners. The music level is just right, allowing for enjoyable conversation. Guests have appreciated large portions, particularly the ropa vieja and fried red snapper, which evoke feelings of nostalgia for those familiar with Cuban and Mexican cuisine. While some have noted that the empanadas can be a little dry and the crema plain, overall, the experience is highly positive. The restaurant is a popular spot in Augusta, considered a hidden gem, especially for brunch or dinner. Reservations are recommended for weekend dinners, as it tends to get busy. Despite a few minor negatives, the best parts of Pineapple Ink Tavern greatly outweigh any drawbacks, making it a favorite for many.

Terrible service! Made a reservation, didn’t have it. Had a party of 8, wouldn’t let us sit down, asked if we could have a drink we were told there’s no seats at the bar. Like we were treated like they did not want our money… will not be back!

Seems like the business is starting to go downhill. We’ve been quite a few times for lunch, dinner and brunch. The past couple times have been underwhelming, but today we had a terrible experience. They are extremely understaffed. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and the empanada appetizers—they were just okay. Our drinks took 45 minutes (all I ordered was Diet Coke). I had to leave before our food came out. Barely got an I’m sorry or explanation for the slow service. Sad...read full review
